Your views on mixed race relationships?

So my son has a new girlfriend. She is absolutely lovely. She is also black.

I have some anxiety over this cos I know full well there are a lot of bigots out there that would be funny about a white lad with a black girlfriend.

What are your views on this. How prevalent is racism these days?

...and much of my close and extended family wouldn’t exist...the only thing with any relationship is the connection, the love, the bond ..and being great to and for each other...that’s all there is...

it's not something that i would even give a second thought to. If other people have a problem with it, it is their problem. I've long since passed caring what other people think and I would never let anyone dictate to me who I should or should not be with

Celebrate the fact that your son has found someone special.
My daughter has the most wonderful fella, loving, kind, funny....and of mixed race.
My son has a partner that is American, older than him, has 3 kids...and a multi millionaire.
The only fact that matters is that they are all very happy.

My cousin is married to a lovely black woman, and their three kids are beautiful. I myself at married to a Yank. I know... it's disgusting.

No problem with me at all. Love is love at the end of the day. Whether it’d be race, age, sexuality etc, it makes absolutely no difference to me.

I've been with a few white boys so obviously I'm all for it. As long as there's no weird race fetish going on I really don't have an issue with interracial relationships (even if there is I it's nothing to do with me).
