Teenage yobs shove primary school teacher in front of a bus

A pair of teenage thugs shoved a primary school teacher in front of a bus after she told them off for spitting at her niece on Oxford Street.

Geraldine Lynne, 56, was left lying on the road outside a River Island store after confronting the pair - a boy and a girl - at around 2.45pm on Saturday, June 15.

The Metropolitan Police today released an image Ms Lynne took of the boy on her mobile phone moments before he attacked her and fled.

The confrontation began when the thugs began stepping on the heels of Ms Lynne's 25-year-old niece, who told them to stop.

'A few moments later, I heard them say, “Three, two, one” and with that he spat at my niece,' she told The Standard.

Ms Lynne approached the teenager, who then pushed her with both hands into the path of a bus - which had thankfully stopped.

'I'm horrified to consider what might've happened if a 12-and-a-half tonne bus had run over me,' she said.

'It's never happened to me before... it was frightening to think one small incident can escalate into being pushed in front of a bus.'

The suspect, who ran into Oxford Circus tube station, is seen in the police photo wearing a navy top and carrying a small grey satchel.

He has light-brown, wavy hair and a silver stud in his right ear.

i've done something not very nice to my teacher either i must admit (just spit at my teacher over a bad grade i freaked out, i got slapped by my teacher in return), but i would never and i mean never shove her in front of a bus

this is a murder attempt, or at least a attempt at major injuries depending on where she would've been hit by the bus


if there is any justice, then yeah this punk deserves a good punishment for his actions

It does need strong punishment as you point out, this could have been extremely much worse than it was, even with what it was bad enough in itself.

i guess a jail sentence of 2 years, and then also professional help, to treat this punk, and to stop him for ever doing that again, for example make him see with pictures of collisions from people with buses or any other vehicle, what the trauma/injury can be or even death

it's my understanding that the bus was stationary, so the story has been exaggerated for maximum impact. It's still not a pleasant attack, but the in front of the bus is standard click bait
