He had trouble eating a Bacon Sandwich

Eating a bacon sandwhich funny ruined his chances, but a racist, sexist, homophobic loon only wanting to help his rich privileged mates is lauded by press and nation.

Britain.

Not many people look appealing when eating a sandwich. Google it and see.

And let's not forget the nasty antisemitic campaign waged by the right wing rags against him for years

I don't get why Sturgeon is on his shoulder. And I still don't understand why his image was so important when Cameron looked/looks like a deflating balloon.

Not really.
3 things held him back in that election.

I canvassed all through that election.
I found people who would have preferred David as leader.

His EDstone didn't impress either.

However had he said, he would too hold an EU referendum,.he could have done much better.

In Scotland though, his standing side by side with David Cameron, was one of the final straws for Scots.

Just shows how easily led the voting public are really, and people have the audacity to clutch their pearls when I say that the voting public generally doesn't know their elbow from their arse.

I was about nine or ten when a front page was a picture of John Gummer MP force-feeding his daughter a burger in the middle of an outbreak of Mad Cow Disease... and it stayed with me.

Why would someone forcefeed their child..

I remember all the mad cow disease stuff, my gran was being ridiculous claiming she would never make beef again and we all just kept on at her she made it as usual and none of us died so..spot on

It's a really sad picture Twosugars.

It's a pretty rotten state of affairs when all at the top are people who should not be considered as leaders let alone get elected by their Parties to be so.

Dire state politics is in.

When the politics and politicians of the centre fail or get complacent the crazy fringes on the right and the left take advantage and take over

It’s a sad state of affairs when a bacon sandwhich can stop someone being Prime Minister, but being openly bigoted can’t

There were many reasons labour didn't win the election and the burger was probably the least of them.

Milliband said on a live debate that he would rather lose the election than have a pact with the SNP. Personally, i thought that was the turning point where he lost credibility
