Invisible for the simple fact that, when I showed as visible some people were actually sad enough to sit refreshing the page for like half an hour then send me a breakdown of what I had been doing instead of what THEY thought I should be doing. Creeped me out somewhat tbh. Been invisible ever since. People know when am online as usually post when on, very rarely just lurk these days.

What happens if you stay logged in and fall asleep?...does it still show what thread you are looking at...for ages and ages....well at least 5 hours anyway?

If you havent clicked anything new for a certain amount of time, it stops showing you online. I think its 15/20 mins.
