TwinnocentMen-mad girls foil uni eviction by saying prove which one did it

SNEAKY sisters Sam and Amanda Marchant told university bosses who wanted to evict them, ‘We're not guilty of identical sins...so tell us whodunnit.'

And when they failed to spot the difference and name the guilty twin, the girls were allowed to carry on living in halls of residence at Manchester Metropolitan University.

"They may come across as dumb blondes, but the twins aren't stupid," said an insider at Broomhurst Hall in Didsbury, Manchester.

The 18-year-old twins had been warned about sneaking fellas into their rooms. On one occasion two lads were even spotted camping outside their rooms in sleeping bags.

"When it was reported that one of the twins had brought yet another lad back, that was the final straw and it was decided they had to go," said the insider.

Sam and Amanda were hauled before the residents' association. "The rules are that all guests have to be signed in. People aren't allowed to abuse the system because quite rightly the university wants to make sure they aren't housing two people in one room.

"The twins had plenty of male visitors and never signed them in. On one occasion they had a bloke each kipping down in a sleeping bag outside their rooms all weekend.

"I think the rooms must have already been full," said the insider.

Their ID stunt got the girls off the hook, but the insider said: "Unfortunately for them with a camera watching their every move 24 hours a day there is no way they can pull the same kind of stunt in the Big Brother house.

"Everybody watching will know exactly what Amanda and Samantha do."

Bringing men into the halls was not the only thing to upset the girls'fellow students.

"They are so noisy," said our source. "They like to party and most of us know them as the Malibu Twins because they drink so much of the stuff.

"Unfortunately they don't know when to stop and there have been a few times when one of them has been sick in the corridor."

Dance

The twins didn't tell student pals they were going on Big Brother, callously saying they would be away for a while because their gran had died.

But many of the students hope they will be a big success in the house—and stay there as long as possible.

The insider said: "A lot of the students got really annoyed because the twins and their friends staged dance routines in the corridors. The Pussycat Dolls are their favourite.

"I've seen them dancing around the Big Brother house and performing cartwheels. That's exactly what they are like here."

I have to say, they haven't come across as wild and outrageous as some of these newspapers are making out. I suppose I might eat my words if a really fit guy enters or something, as they mentioned in their VT, but I've always maintained that VTs are grossly exaggerated. They seem to love parties, having fun, being happy and energetic, but aside from that, not really full of trouble! And, a lot of the things that have been described they probably do because it has to be remembered they're university students! The same probably doesn't apply straightaway in a BB house.

Erm. I haven't really noticed them in the house. The camera sometimes picks them up jumping on the beds. If they went now, I think they would be easily forgotten. They don't bring anything to the house IMO.

I dont know how they cant tell them apart, they have very distinct differences, but that might be me as I come from a family with a lot of twins and I am used to looking for differences :bouncy:
