As some of you may know I start a new job soon, but it isn't until the end of July, meaning i won't get my first paycheck until the end of August. I'm just wondering of some ways I can make some extra money in the meantime to live off?

Sell things you don’t need anymore. Take paid surveys. Anything like that.

OhMyDosh, its for UK only but ah always see Sian from BB n Chloe from LI promoting it. you just do surveys n stuff and you get actual money from it and if you use their referral codes you get 2 pounds etc
...are you able to do any gardening work..?...it’s the time of year when lawns need to be cut regularly and general tidying/garden jobs etc...and not everyone is able to do these things themselves..with elderly people for instance....?...

No risk matched betting? I haven't learnt how to do it myself yet (I'd like to though) but it's possible to make good money off of this depending on the hours you work for.
Here's a bit about it if you're interested: https://matchedbettingblog.com
