USA: Senators Introduce Resolution to Label Far Left ANTIFA ‘Domestic Terrorists

Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) introduced a resolution
Thursday that would label Antifa a “domestic terrorist organization.”


“Whereas members of Antifa, because they believe that free speech is
equivalent to violence, have used threats of violence in the pursuit of
suppressing opposing political ideologies,” the resolution states.


The resolution continues:

Whereas Antifa represents opposition to the democratic
ideals of peaceful assembly and free speech for all; Whereas members of
Antifa have physically assaulted journalists and other individuals during
protests and riots in Berkeley, California; Whereas in February of 2018,
journalist Andy Ngo was intimidated and threatened with violence by
protestors affiliated with Antifa.

Cruz wrote on Twitter Thursday that the group is a “terrorist organization
composed of hateful, intolerant radicals who pursue their extreme agenda
through aggressive violence.”

Cassidy echoed his colleague’s statements in a press release Thursday.

“Antifa are terrorists, violent masked bullies who ‘fight fascism’ with actual
fascism, protected by Liberal privilege,” he said. “Bullies get their way until
someone says no. Elected officials must have courage, not cowardice, to
prevent terror.”

Seems a bit dumb when they don't recognise the Charlottesville killer or the Charleston church shooter as terrorists. Like so many right wingers, they are weirdly defensive over their extreme elements to the point that they defend them by refusing to acknowledge what they are.

Antifa are arseholes that I disavow completely but they don't kill people, they don't blow up buildings. They don't do anything that really defines them as terrorists. This is just the right wing trying to ignore the fact that Right Wing terrorism is THE biggest domestic threat facing the US right now by using false equivalency to make out the left is the same when it's not.

These senators need to look at the right, since it's right ring extremism that's actually killing people.

I hate Antifa but it's just the most ridiculous false equivalency to desperately try to make them out to be terrorists. 'Right Wing terrorism is a thing so we must try to find the left wing equivalent so we can focus on that instead of the growing violent extremism in our corner.'

As it stands there are no left wing organisations that are the equivalent to the ****ing KKK, there are no Left Wing terrorists shooting up white churches, there are no left wingers racing their car into a bunch of right wing protesters etc. Trying to make out that there's left equivalent to these terrorists is pure enlightened centrism and it's pushing lies to do it.
