What do you think of charity shops?
Would you buy from them? What would you buy?
I buy books and clothing if its in really good condition which usually is the case.
Thoughts?

Also cast a look if they have old glass or pewter

Books only, I used to volunteer in a charity shop and they check everything over with a fine tooth comb so I would say its very rare to find anything of real value any more

I could go into any charity shop and dump about 90% of their non clothing stock in a skip as it will never sell in a month of sundays. The staff have not got a clue what sells and what does not

Landfills are full enough. :nono:
And I'd honestly rather buy anything second hand other than clothing. :worry:

Not often, but sometimes if you need something cheap and last minute it’s a great shout.
I volunteered at a charity shop and quit the moment I was checking a board game and a spider came crawling out the box :worry:

Only books
However I went in to look at the books one day and noticed a Kipling bag, brand new with the tags still on, went over and had a good look thinking FAKE! but no it was actually genuine and the exact same as one I already have only in a different colour so I bought it for 6.99 (this specific bag costs £79) I was well chuffed with that :hee:

That is amazing Josy. Well spotted. Absolute bargain. Surprised one of the staff hadn't had it. Usually they get first dibs. :hee:
