12 albums have been nominated for the annual Mercury Prize (for the best British album) and whilst they usually chuck in a crowdpleasing "best seller" like Lewis Capaldi, this year they've seen some sense and just sticked to good albums.
Which from the list have you enjoyed the most the past year? (don't worry, nobody's listened to all twelve)

even I've only listened to 3 of them  have Slowthai and IDLES in my "to listen to" list, though, and assumed Anna Calvi had stopped making good albums in 2016. Guess I was wrong.
It'd probably be boring and futile of me to say The 1975, so I'll go with Little Simz because 'Selfish' is a bop (although I'd be very happy with NAO and perfectly fine with Dave, Slowthai and Anna Calvi)

Slowthai, he's so edgy and original.
