The Duchess of Sussex has announced that she is partnering with Marks and Spencer's to launch a capsule collection of workwear to benefit Smart Works, a nationwide charity that helps unemployed and vulnerable women back into the workplace. Meghan has also teamed up with John Lewis and Partners, Jigsaw and close friend and designer Misha Nonoo.
The collection, which will launch later this year, will sell on a one-for-one basis. "For each item purchased by a customer, one is donated to charity," Meghan revealed during her takeover of the September issue of British Vogue. "Not only does this allow us to be part of each other's story, it reminds us we are in it together."
Meghan is a huge fan and supporter of the British high-street, particularly M&S, whose tailored pieces and classic silhouettes she has been spotted in on numerous occasions, especially when she first moved over to the UK. Back in 2018, Meghan caused a rush to the tills when she wore a pretty £35 bell sleeve navy jumper by the brand.
Later that year, she had chosen the brand's Double Crepe Bodycon Dress for the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall. Costing just £49.50, it unsurprisingly sold out in nearly every size.
While it's true she also favours designers like Givenchy, Stella McCartney, and Roland Mouret, there is one thing they all have in common to feature in Meghan's wardrobe – classic, timeless cuts that perfectly shape a woman's figure.

So she works, she's cashing in, she doesn't she's sponging, lose/lose. her and Harry seem very happy, not nice talking about divorce when they've just had their first child too. I don't get this nastiness towards her at all

A charitable fashionista
Good luck to her, she’ll obviously never please the people who don’t like her, she could cure cancer and they’d probably ask ‘well, why didn’t she cure lepracy? Selfish bitch’ .
She should just keep doing her and using her status to help people for as long as she wants, a truly lovely woman
we know what M&S did with their charity sandwich, so i'm a bit sceptical, but i hope it pans out as it is portrayed

well obviously they are going to make pots of money, but for each outfit sold one is donated so I think that is a fair trade off
Why not give that deal to an equally talented, less rich (lol) black women?!

Because it wouldn't sell as much?
Suppose now she has a name she can use to benifit her it was always going to end up like this.

Her organic indian baby shawl she was parading around was recently exposed as being made by sweat shop workers who earn 30p a day in squalid conditions

Meghan has been offered this opportunity, not because she is a TV actress from California, she's been offered it because she is now the Duchess of Sussex. I find it distasteful that she cherry picks the high-profile bits, but refuses to follow royal protocol. She has her cake, and now she's going to eat it.
There's nothing in my size or colour.

Not for long, the Queen will soon put her foot down and put Meghan in her place
