Why are skinny clothes more expensive?

I was googling around and found a random forum post elsewhere that said they're more "fashionable" so they can get away with charging more, but also sell less so they need to be more expensive per unit.

I hear that, I'm usually a complete slob unless I'm dressed up for whatever occasion:)
