So this morning I got a random notification via email from TSR, which I haven't even thought about for years. But if I remember rightly there's a rule in their "serious" sections, which also stands in the "serious" sections of bloody KiwiFarms...
How making "nothing replies", such as gifs, emojis, or dot-quoting without posting any actual words against the rules for that section?

There already is a rule.
That's why I gave up giving each post I made my best effort...
Nothing worse than being run down by some pointy nose women turning her nose up at you giff..

Not a good idea imo, not many posts as it is on the forum atm, the last thing we’re needing rn is to decrease that number any further. Also I don’t see the point in banning emojis, like if someone makes a funny joke and I laughed, everybody replies with a :joker: or  or :laugh2: because it’s quick, easy and generally what people do nowadays. Same with the banning of quoting something with a full stop. If I agree with a point, it’s easier to just quote it, and put a full stop as it’s quick and easy and gets the point across that I agree with someone’s point.

Also I’m not sure that Kiwi Farms is what we should be drawing inspiration from in terms of how to make TiBB better, no offence

But the rules already there apparantly...there won't be changes.

In the SD section. This isn't a forum-wide thing. I know I've been infracted in the past for posting emojis in SD.
This has made my week...
I've been called all sorts and never reported..apart from once...I feel a release..ahhhhh.

What are you on about now?
I'm not for that, gifs can be funny replies in some instances.
Doesn't bother me in the slightest, it takes me less than a second to scroll past it if I wanted too.

They slice my heart to pieces..
BAN THEM.

Oh? Obviously the mods aren't the Flash so I presumably see some posts before they're acted on, and I can't see the infractions list, but I have seen gifs/emojis/dot replies with nothing else...

Hmm, outside of SD&N I agree, but my point is that if one doesn't have an actual comment to make, don't post ;) you could always say why you agree with them, and/or expand on it with your own experiences or opinions?

See above ;)

Yeah, I agree that site is a dump :joker: but even they have standards for their serious sections ;) the same standards as a student site :hehe:

I have asked for reaction buttons and I think it may be under consideration. Josy seemed to think it was a possibility iirc. X
