or do you think its an extra tax!

Personally I think its worth a punt even though the odds are so hugh, but then on the other hand someone always wins

No, because if people vote under the impression that votes are private you can't really change that afterwards

I don't play it but if I'm in a petrol station on the right day, and I see a crazy rollover amount, then I always pick up a couple of lines. It's actually bizarre when you think of it; Oh yeah, £20m won't change my life, but if it's £50m then I'll go for it!

I don't play the lotto but I do buy the odd scratchcard, prefer those as you actually have a reasonable chance of winning something

yeah about €2, has anyone ever actually won a decent amount on a scratchcard? I won €50 one time and it was like I'd won a few grand it was so unusual to win anything even halfway decent

i've heard the lottery described as gambling for the poor, but I don't see it like that at all. I watch out for large jackpots and buy 1 ticket for them. I'm not going to win 100+ million anywhere else, so why not.

£40 is my biggest lol, you do normally just get your money back but then pretty much all lottery 'wins' are just free lucky dips or a few quid

I do know of an old guy locally who won 100k on a £1 scratchcard. (apparently..)

I only buy a ticket if its a massive jackpot.

My dad has had the same 4 lines since the day it started, he is too scared to ever miss in case they cone up. He reckons that if he added up what he has spent on the lottery since it started in the 90s, he'd be a lit wealthier than he is now  he won £500 on Hot Picks once...but other than a few rtenners that's been the sum total of 4 lines twice a week for pushing 25 years

Have never bought a scratch card or played the lottery in my life. Just never had the urge to, tbh.

I think I’ve bought a lottery ticket once and a scratchcard once, only when I’ve seen a **** load of magpies! (mind you I won nowt!)

My mum did have a dream she won the lottery a few months ago tho, put a Lucky Dip on and got £30!

Heres a weird story....

My sister got a new house not long after the lottery had first started, whilst cleaning the house before moving in she found this tiny strip of paper in the bath with numbers printed on it and decided to use them as her lottery numbers, she won that week quite a big win and then again the 2 following weeks but not as much, probably just a weird coincidence but she still puts those same numbers on every week, she's won the lottery lots since then.
