I really appreciate Tim is playing as himself and not cat fishing as someone younger but hes my pre season first boot prediction and that's solely because hes not as young as the rest of the cast and the others will probably find it more comfortable around the others

It's far from making fun of cat fishing. Theres an audience for a pre recorded social segment queuing up now and the whole premise is to shed light on the dangers that comes with cat fishing and its effects on everyday lives. The show was never about glorifying catfishing.

It’s a game first and foremost... The show is absolutely not pushing any sort of social commentary whatsoever.
