Data in the the show itself will apparently resemble how he looked in Nemesis, the reason he looked off in the trailer is the CG work wasn't there

I guess it must be B4 instead of Data, unless they are ignoring the events of Nemesis.

Mars and the Utopia Planetia Shipyards (where all the Enterprises, Voyager, Discovery and Defiant were built are destroyed by 'Rogue Synths' (possibly the android like Data copies seen in the trailer.

So, spoilers for the prequel comics and prequel short and perhaps a little bit of Picard?
Geordi LaForge is stationed on Utopia Planitia Fleetyards in the comic, the prequel short takes place around the same time....
Geordi :(

[The Space Force Logo (L) looks uncannily similar
to the StarFleet Command United Federation of Planets logo.

I do not agree.
The Trump one is not the same as Star Trek.
Scarlett.
25-01-2020, 11:19 AM
They're heavily similar though
James
25-01-2020, 11:24 AM
The new logo is based on the old US Air Force Space Command logo, which was probably based on the Starfleet symbol... although I don't if that is true.
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/3/3c/Air_Force_Space_Command.png/497px-Air_Force_Space_Command.png
Edit:
The centrally superimposed deltoid symbolizes both the Air Force upward thrust into space and the launch vehicles needed to place all satellites in orbit. The distinctive dark blue background shading and small globe and stars symbolize the space environment.

Hmm
The Assassins who killed Dahj, it seems unlikely they were sent by the Reclaimation Romulans... and the explosion near Starfleet seems to have been covered up. Could Ex-Tal'Shiar be working for Section 31?

Scarlett.
31-01-2020, 09:45 PM
Same, they should have done the first two episodes together like with Discovery
James
31-01-2020, 10:55 PM
They want people in America to keep subscribed to the CBS All Access streaming service. That's why they didn't put them out all at once like Netflix and Amazon often do.
Scarlett.
31-01-2020, 10:57 PM
It does make sense that way though, they gotta make money on it to be fair on them lol
2 episodes in and it's ticking all the right boxes for me. This could well end up being my favourite star trek
James
01-02-2020, 09:15 PM
I don't think we need f-bombs in Star Trek, mind you.
I don't think we need f-bombs in Star Trek, mind you.
Yep, that did surprise me and Picard was positively shocked
Scarlett.
01-02-2020, 10:00 PM
I think that was used in the right place, but they should keep it as something that isnt used often
Scarlett.

I read a review of the first episode and it spoiled a returning character for me - not that one though, but,
Hugh Borg
I hadn't heard that character was back before I read the review.
