Seemingly this story is being swept under the carpet...sorry ladies, but do not go for men that are in line for a knighthood or you may have to just grin and bare certain thing

obviously that 'incident' the was involved with is the tip of the iceberg, I hope she finds the strength to leave the abusive man

The mainstream media don't want it because he is a sporting hero :skull:

The precedent was sent when the other one got a gong from May

tbf the picture is not a good look for him? especially after his court case, maybe keep the playfighting for the bedroom, its quite an odd thing to do in public especially for someone so high profile

the jury is out for me on this one

yes the picture makes the whole look horrible, and makes you believe it's real abuse

i agree with you, keep all of that in the bedroom, and most definitely not in public

...it was reported in GMTV that he did indeed choke his wife in an act of aggression...?...is that what you’re saying, Arista.../...I don’t understand...he hasn’t choked his wife in the way the title suggests unless that’s been established...?...

...anyways, just to make my thoughts clear on this...if this was an aggressive act in any way then its totally deplorable...but because it is so deplorable in its nature and one of the worst things to be said about a male...I’m reluctant to judge when it is so open for uncertainty atm and they are both denying...media/society etc judges females too much in so many things that it has to be fair for me ...

I agree there is no proof ,its just a shame it all depends on who you are and if you are liked as to whether these tales are to be believed , imo no one should be judged unless there is actual proof. for all we know this could be a wife shielding her husband it could just have been playful , we don't know.

Where are those images from CCTV? If so the entire footage would give a better insight into whether the actions were playful or aggressive, 2 stills aren't enough to guage that.
If they're phone pics he'd have to have been 'playfully' squishing her face for a while for them to get the shot.

No a Mate took the Photos
using a Mobile phone
it was a ruse
But it was only picked up by a online site
so it failed.

Pretty sad that surveillance culture is basically inventing crimes that he is not even guilty of, now. I believe her.

The camera never lies... most businesses, bars and hotels have CCTV to help prevent crime. What's wrong with that?
If someone has screwed this to make a story from it it's hardly the camera that captured the image that's to blame is it? :/

Of course not, but the slightest bit of cropping and dramatic framing and you can conjure a story where there isn't one, just to discredit someone you don't like.

From what others have said, this was a picture taken on a phone, not CCTV, so the point is moot anyway. Mine was about people taking photos od opportune moments and removing all context to create something fictional and malicious.

50 Shades Of Stokes coming to the Cinemas 25th October.

Being serious though, Ben Stokes should be careful what he does out in public if he is genuinely innocent as certain things don't look right out in public.

From what others have said... well then it's a matter of opinion, I'd say it was a photograph of CCTV footage.
It could have been done to make money from the image who knows?
But that's beside the point now they've said it was nothing and we'll have to respect that. I obviously hope it was.
