I've heard the attacker was in his 40's but I'm not sure if that's been confirmed yet, if true then it's probably not gang related.

It's more of an american style to randomly attack people I suppose but it doesn't mean it can't happen that way on this side of the Atlantic.

El Paso was absolutely not random, it was a targeted attack by someone who wanted to kill "hordes of mestizos" due to the "Hispanic invasion of Texas" (afaik all but one of the victims was either Mexican or Mexican-American)... and because he's not done inflicting harm on the victims and their families just yet, the person who did it pled not guilty in court yesterday
