Yes. Brilliant movie.

I'd never paid much attention to it but omg it broke my heart, Elio was too cute when he was around Oliver.

I hope there is a sequel. I read that Armie, Timothée, the director Luca Guadagnino all want to do one but in a few years to fit in with the book's age for Elio.

It was pretty good, I think it's a rare case of the film being better than the book as everything about the book was bogged down with endless pretentiousness.

So is the book not worth a read?

So is the book not worth a read?

It's very well written and you find out a lot more about the characters that the film doesn't cover so if you liked the film then you might like the book but I just found it painfully pretentious while the film managed to cut all of that out.

Hmmm might leave it then, thanks Dezzy.

I'm an outlier when it comes to that book though, lots of people love it.

Love the film, love the soundtrack. Watching this had me listening to "Love My Way" by the Psychedelic Furs for weeks afterwards, such a good song, and I always loved Sufjan Stevens so knew it was inevitable I'd wallow in despair over his three contributions to the soundtrack.

I guess the film speaks to everyone, pretty much a heartbreaking tale of first love.

Can't look at Armie Hammer seriously after that video of his son sucking his toes.

I have been listening to the soundtrack since I saw it every day back and two in work. Honestly the whole movie is just perfect. Haven't seen a film that's touched me like this in forever.

I think I've fallen for Timothee too.

You definitely should, it's incredible. Shocked it never cleaned up at the big award shows but the best movies rarely get the credit they deserve.
