Imagine if when Scotland finally win their vote for independence and the UK turns around and say well actually if you want to leave then you need to Pay £33b. There would be international uproar.

In fact the international comunity will expect london to pay for scotland to get on its feet. Build infrastructure, school, hospitals ect so it could cope.

The idea that Scotland doesn't have infrastructure is just plain stupid . We don't need more hospitals, schools or roads. We DO need an end to the austerity that has left the ones we already have critically under-funded, like they are across the entire UK.

And England would have to repay north sea oil revenues?

If they did Scotland would literally be one of the richest countries in the world per capita :joker:. That's not very realistic though, I'd be content enough with them leaving what's left of it to Scotland.

England, the eternal victims.

I swear if people start whining about the economic downturn post-Brexit with any suggestion that it's "someone else's fault", I'm gonna go fkn HAM!
