View Full Version : What did you think to the catfishes' games?

Sammie/James
Acting as a single mum using his own as a template was pretty smart, and he played a "lovely young girl" quite well, until he started to slip. He'd probably have done better if he didn't amp up the gameplay.
Jay/Katie
Did she say she went in to find her son a girlfriend? Can't remember. But yeah, using "slang" isn't necessarily important in pretending to be young, just speaking in a straightforward way would be fine.
Busayo/Josh
I think her strategy was wrong tbh - everyone would have liked her more if she'd have just been herself, and no-one in there had much in common with a "gap yahh" type.
Jack+Beth/Joyce
Neither of them were smart enough to follow the story they crafted :joker: On paper it's a good move to craft their profile to appeal to who was in there, but Woody and Ella would obviously ask them about it.

James was obviously excellent and that's why he got to 3rd place, Katie did way too much bless her :joker:, Busayo was just a bit **** and it was clear she was winging the whole thing which wasn't very smart at all :skull: and Beth / Jack had good ideas but with extremely poor execution unfortunately, altho tbf to them they were thrown into the catfish role quite suddenly and didn't really get much of a chance to actually think everything through

Sammie put everyone off, even ha sidekicks didnt vote ha first. In the end everyone sensed there was something not right.
Busayo overdid it and ha josh was a bit of a middle class twat with his perfect life and ambitions.
Joyce, well, were too stupid coming up with a festival they never went to.
Katie, like Busayo, overdid it or did it wrong.
Overall none were that impressive.

I really wish they said they saw Roy Orbison to someone :joker:

In terms of being the best at actually catfishing
1) Jamies (convinced all of them for 95% of the time)
2) Katie (convinced half of them)
3) Busayo (rubbish)
4) Joyce (terrible)

Yet still got further than Woody, and tied with Tim

Woody didn't even know who Leona Lewis was  , he wouldn't have a clue who Roy Orbison was and he'd probably believe them . Despite him being dead for years . Ella probably wouldn't know who Orbison is either . so weirdly they'd probably get away with it unless Tim found out of course .

Eh. He seems to prefer rock-orientated performers, or at least "festival favourites". Everyone's heard Bleeding Love, but it's become one of those songs, "I know it, but I don't know who it's by!"
