A Labour MP’s office has been vandalised for the second time in a week, with homophobic graffiti spray-painted on the windows and walls.
The graffiti accused Luke Pollard, the MP for Plymouth, Sutton and Devonport, of being a “pedo”.
Pollard, who is gay, said the word was a “common slur against gay people” and asked the culprit to “sit down and talk” to him in a video posted on Twitter.

Why is pedo a homophobic slur?..
I was wondering that - if the claim is unfounded, then it's obviously unacceptable. But I don't see how it's related to him being gay.

I've literally never heard that tbh.
edit: just seen Dezzy's post. Must be an outdated thing, I guess the "writer" of the graffiti was old.

Or maybe you showed ignorance. This myth persists even if unexpressed.

That's a bit harsh... I'd never heard it either :/ If youve never experienced something it's not showing ignorance to question how or why it happens.
It would be ignorant to deny it happens as I'd never encountered it.
