Depends on the household. If both spouses work full time, they should both do housework, unless one has a more physically demanding job than the other. If one spouse is at home all the time, of course they should do all the housework.
(unless they wanna hire cleaners)

Thats the interesting thing about the video though I would imagine alot of those interviewed were men whose wives stayed at hime to look after the family, they appreciated this was a job itself and helped out at weekend, now the attitude is if you stay at home you are doing nothing which is far from the case

Hubby has always helped.
Housework and childminding, plus his own jobs of course.
Now he does the lot, cooking included.
I have told him he can get a cleaner in to help but he is happy for now.
My dad always done more than his fair share as well, even when we had servants.

I end up doing most of the housework as i am a tidy person and cant abide things being where they should not be

I like to do the housework myself, I like doing it and if hubby starts to try and help I tell him I will do it, lol, but he does help out with the children a lot like taking them to football and other activities, so it works for us.

I actually do most of the cleaning in my house. Can't relax in a house that's slightly messy which with kids is hard to keep on top of so I'm tidying up after them constantly whereas my wife isnt as bothered. She is only fussed if people are coming round

I do more than half of the housework but being honest... we already have a gardener and when we've bought (rather than renting) I'll probably hire a cleaner too :umm2:. I don't mind stuff like washing dishes or clothes but crap like hoovering / cleaning floors I just don't wanna.

"How about dad having a rest too, because I suppose he's been working all the week!"
"No he hasn't worked for 8 years."

We both work fulltime so it's a joint effort
