"In a bizarre turn of events, 32.5% of Dec's DNA could not be verified as human."

The fact that Ant went into Rehab two weeks after finding out he shared DNA with half an Irish Village and they all had surnames like McPartlin

The guy who added a 'D' 15 years ago so he is now McPartland :hehe:

See how red his eyes looked in the 2017 footage compared to the newer bits?

Yeah he looks so much better now.

I think Dec's reaction was very heartfelt as well at how angry he was to begin with, I think we can all empathise

It was joyous, the first episode was kind of uncomfortable seeing how.. erratic Ant was, but their interviews later were so honest and raw, it was lovely to see

The TL did my family tree last year right back to like the 15th century and we are also related. tbh once you get to your GG grandparents you literally are related to everyone and you have cousins all over the shop

Barbara in Fermoy saying Dec looked like her cousin, she was desperate for the relation to be Dec :joker: and the guy in the funeral home  he was as stiff as a corpse himself :omgno:

Its not too hard you know, the TL goes obsessive about things like this and is at it night and day. I found out that I drive by the house my GG grandfather on my mums side used to live at once a week and that the TL lived for many years about 50 feet from where my Mums G Grandparents lived for many many years. One of the TL's relations was called Edward the Worm Slayer :omgno:

I was going to say there's less chance for me and my wife because we're from very different areas BUT my dad's maternal family (if you go back 3 or 4 generations) was Irish Catholic, and her mum's family is Irish Catholic going back just one generation (both her maternal grandparents migrated from Ireland as adults) so I guess there's potential there :umm2:.

If you stay around the same area for life everyone does seem to be related in some way or other though. In my teens it transpired that my best friend at school is actually some form of "numbered/removed" cousin... my grandfather and his great-grandfather were 1st cousins. So not even that distant :joker:

[edit]3rd cousins once removed. I've just used a calcumerlator on google :hee:

Actually, Gavins surname is Scottish and I think one of his relatives did a family history search and they're from Scotland going back not too long ago, so he might be related to you both TS and LT  Both my parents have very irish names though, it would be interesting to do a search, where do you even start with it?

Crimson Dynamo

If we assume that there is a new generation every twenty-five years, an ancestor born 1,000 years before you would be 40 generations removed from you. You would have 2,199,023,255,550 (that’s 2 trillion, 199 billion, 23 million, 255 thousand, 550) unique ancestors born in the previous 40 generations, assuming no overlap (that is, none of your ancestors were cousins to other ancestors).

I am very tempted now to do it, but after sharing one of the very few bus journeys recently with a woman who is convinced she is the actual Queen (and she had a big file of papers to prove it) and that Liz and Philip are going to be ousted any day now, I'm worried I might be Liz's long lost daughter :omgno:
