In order to buy neem time I can update you on my illness.
Well i had a fitful sleep and saw every hour, swallowing and coughing. Got up at normal time and did my jobs but felt so bloody ill i had to go back to bed for 1.5 hours :omgno: and its auction day and its freezing and naturally the auction has no heating so i could get TB or some such thing!

So (ho ho). My activity round these parts has nosedived slightly in recent months (along with my Most Loved placing you horrible horrible people!) but I want to make more of an effort to get involved again over the Christmas season because there's actually a rather lovely community of people (and I'm convinced a few extraterrestrials) here and if Christmas is about one thing it's that. Embracing weirdos.
I'm rubbish with speeches and only agreed to this because Kate is a genuine angel amongst men so I don't really know what else to say other than watch Westworld and His Dark Materials. Kidding of course, I hope everyone on TiBB has a bloody lovely Christmas and if I'm to make a resolution for New Year, it will be to start posting more again. :douf:

Merry Christmas TIBBers
Kinda struggled to how I would start this so I suppose I’ll start with how my year has gone. This year for me has been a bit of a struggle to say the least.
It started of well, I was happy and content in my 1st year of going back to college to study Bookkeeping, doing extremely well in my exams in May and finally being a step closer to leaving my job which I don’t really like at the moment.
Then midway through, things just kinda started to fall apart. My dad decided to stop paying the mortgage on the house so me and my sister have had to work a lot of hours to help my mum with the payments. My car broke down in August and I had to sell it, my 2nd year of college was cancelled a week before I was due to start in September because not enough people were enrolled on the course and sadly a friend who I knew from school tragically died in October.
It’s been relatively difficult the last few months but I always try to remain positive and optimistic that things will hopefully get better. Life can be very difficult at times, but if the events of this year have taught me anything, it’s to try and enjoy life as much as I can and try to be a lot stronger during the bad times and now it seems things are slowly starting to look a little more positive again.
I’m very thankful that I found this forum (maybe a little too late ) as it’s a great release valve for me to talk about things that I’m not able to in real life (would you believe that no one at my work watched I’m a Celeb this year?). Everyone has been very nice and friendly, which kinda makes me wish I joined sooner. My main aim on here in the new year, is to try and get to know people a little better and make more of an effort as I feel that’s something I’ve lacked trying to do.
So.. Merry Christmas everyone, I notice that a lot of people here have had struggles probably worser than mine this year and what I would like to say is that I hope the new year brings a lot more positivity and happiness to you all

Morning TiBBers, think we all need a bit of Cherie love this morning so huddle round, put differences aside for a few minutes and group hug while we listen to one of my all time favourite Christmas songs. I have never heard this song played on radio in the UK at Christmas :oh: so I always associate it with Christmas in Ireland and it makes me a teeny bit homesick when I play it

So.. Merry Christmas everyone, I notice that a lot of people here have had struggles probably worser than mine this year and what I would like to say is that I hope the new year brings a lot more positivity and happiness to you all
To finish off on a more happier note, here is my favourite Christmas song this time of year

So as you all may or may have not noticed, my activity on the forum has been in and out lately. I guess I'll use this message to try and get back to posting on here more. Anyways I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas from my heart. I hope all of you have been enjoying your holidays so far. :)
I hope that your Christmas will be spent well with your family, friends and all the people you love. Enjoy what Christmas is about because after all it only happens once a year. Enjoy unwrapping those presents on the tree, have a good chat with your loved ones over Christmas dinner. That is how you make Christmas worth it.
Also just want to say this in advance but I hope everyone has a blessed new year. I hope 2020 will bring you all good things and that the following decade will be a great one. I still can't believe a whole decade has passed!
Merry Christmas TiBB

Hello everyone.:wavey:
I know that for some of us 2019 has been an up and down year, but with Christmas coming up hopefully we will all have achieved everything that we've set out to do throughout the year.
For me for example I have been trying to change some of my bad personality traits on and off the Forum (not always successful mind you) but it's been a working progress over the past few months that has hopefully showed signs on here of me being more respectful towards people, and being less volatile about the poor Reality TV contestants who I could be overly harsh towards.:joker:
Anyway I wanna wish Dezzy the best of luck on becoming an Author, I can't imagine it being easy to get into business like that as there's nobody to hide behind if anything goes wrong (I don't believe that anything will go wrong with your career) but unlike TV and Video Games where you can hide behind other people (with all due respect to any members on here going into those two industries) you've put yourself out there which I genuinely respect. I know that you've released at least one Book which by all accounts is meant to be fantastic. So Merry Christmas Dezzy, and hopefully have a successful career in writing.
And Merry Christmas to Black Dagger too, I know that you've been having a tough time lately and hopefully you'll bounce out of it and hopefully have a better 2020.
And Merry Christmas to everybody else, have a great 2020, and may all of TIBB's favourite Sports Teams, Singers, Actors, Reality TV Stars etc all blossom. Yes even Aston Villa, Nathan, they can take 17th place.
Eddie.

Well where do I start?
2019 hasnt been a perfect year for me. There have been a fair few turbulent challenges along the way.
A lot of you may know the point I almost lost it completely and got very low. It helped to share my feelings on here and so many of you were so kind to me and helped me through
There have been a lot of postive things to happen to me. It always helps to focus on the positives of the past the present and the future
I have had many fun things that I have enjoyed this year, breaks and days away with my family. House parties. Celebrations etc so they have been great to look back on
There have been new things to get used to such as my daughter starting school, I was nervous about her going due to her being quite slow in learning how to speak properly but to say she has come on leaps and bounds in the past few months would be an understatement. She has full on conversations with me now, not only can she speak, but she can spell, she can read and she can write. She is such a clever girl and very popular she has lots of friends.
My 3 year old son has progressed tons too he loves going to nursery, he has learnt to use the toilet, he can dress himself. He loves doing everything for himself. He is such a caring and kind little boy too.
So if anything brings a smile to my face this year its those 2*
And that leads me on to the exciting new challenge 2020 brings as we await our baby in April
Some of you may remember me saying the midwifes had detected worrying things on the 12 week scan that could detect down syndrome or something else. Well it had turned out to be nothing to worry about. Had quite a few scans since and we have having a healthy baby boy. So Im very excited about that
Very much looking forward to 2020, its a new decade, it sounds so fresh and exciting and im ready to take on the world.
As for my highlights of tibb this year its been great to get to know a lot of you this year. Despite me being on here for almost 10 years I hadnt felt much a part of the forum. But now I feel I have cemented my place here. A lot of you have been so kind to me. The biggest highlight has been doing the strictly games. We have had 3 series of that this year and its been a lot of fun and I want to thank everyone who has taken part. It managed to win the award for the game of the year. I also was voted most underrated member yet somehow also get 2nd best male on here. Which is simplt amazing!
As we look forward to the week ahead, it may get quite stressful at points, but just remember to have as much fun as you can. Enjoy your loved ones. Enjoy any time off work that your given. Enjoy all the drink and food you get to indulge in. Enjoy all the cheesy xmas tv( I cant wait for Gavin and Stacey!) and most importantly
Relax!
All the best to each and every one of you xxx
To sing us out, not the most xmassy of songs(although leon jackson got to christmas number 1 with it...) but the lyrics are important and who doesnt love mariah and whitney?!

...such a thought filled and from the heart message, Jake...I’m so pleased that your daughter has settled into school beautifully and is flourishing in her learning and her friendships etc......I imagine there were tears at her Christmas production...?...the first of many beautiful moments through her school life for you and Mrs Strictly......and it’s lovely to hear that your son is also flourishing at nursery...a tribute to their parents as well, to you and Mrs Strictly who’ve had a little hand in all of this...
...awwwwwww...I’m so, so thrilled at the news of your son to be born in 2020...he has some beautiful parents and siblings to be born into...I wish you all a very happy and healthy Christmas and 2020...take care, Jake.....

The Jewish festival of Hanukkah begins tonight at sundown and lasts for eight nights. It always seems more special when it coincides with Christmas and we’re lucky to have my Grandmother with us this year, so we have the oldest and the newest members of my family together.
The family will gather around the menorah this afternoon as the sun goes down, and my Grandmother will sing the blessing in Hebrew: Blessed are you our God, who has given us life, sustained us and allowed us to meet here together for Hanukkah. As she does this, she will light the first of eight candles, each one representing the eight nights that Jews believe God enabled the temple lamp to blaze for eight nights when there was oil enough only for a few hours.
And after the Menorah is lit, we will sit, the whole family, and eat together. My husband isn’t Jewish, but he will join in with us in the same way I celebrate Christmas, because these festivals become important to us whether we have faith or not. They become important to us because they are the times we come together with friends and family and celebrate together. And this year Alex and I have more reason to celebrate than usual because it will be our beautiful son’s first Christmas and Hanukkah.
So my Christmas message to you all is a simple one: whether you’re religious or not, whether you believe in God or not, whether we get on or not… from my family to yours, I send to you good wishes for a very Happy Hanukkah, a very Merry Christmas and a Healthy and Prosperous New Year.

Merry Christmas everyone! I initially chose this date so I could post that gif and then you all started posting big long messages so I had to do one too. :hee: It’s been an interesting year on here. I won TiBB’s The Circle. I came 10th in Most Loved. I ran my first forum game, The Hot Seat. Happy with those. This is a great community, Big Brother UK finished over a year ago and the site is still… well not *thriving*, but not *completely dead* either, so we have done well for ourselves even if it’s being kept alive with arguments about politics with the odd BB-related thread thrown in there as well. Everybody’s messages have been lovely to read, and I’m sure Vanessa and Ammi’s messages will be too. Whether I have gotten along with you or not in the past, I genuinely hope everybody reading this message has a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year. Thank you to Kate for running this as well as the other things you run on the forum. You are a treasure. Merry Christmas TiBB

Hello everyone! Happy Christmas eve! :amazed: The big day is almost here and im so excited! i love Christmas.
Even though i always get sick round this time of the year :fist::laugh:
i love it all. the lights, the atmosphere, the family and the food
This time i'm not going to Italy, so i will miss my family for sure. But there's always what's app, so we can talk and share this wonderful day.
Reflecting on the past year, i have to say that it wasn't too bad really.
I have a job that i adore, with some of the best people i've ever met. Admittedly, some make me mad all the time:joker: others make me laugh and then i have two ladies who i'm very close with.
I think i've always been a lone wolf like my dad. I'm not very comfortable around people and quite often i like being on my own. Also, i've been single for a while, because i don't trust men, unless they're Johnny Depp :hehe:
i hope you're all enjoying the day. Hug your loved ones and have fun. We only live once and you never know what's around the corner.
A big thank you to Kate for organising this. Its been lovely to read all of your messages, and ive been quite touched by you all. Who i consider my family. i love you all

Christmas Day. Ammi's message.
...so anyway...this isn’t prepared in any way, it was only really yesterday that this felt like the direction my thoughts were going in...I was very touched that Kate asked me to do this, but ‘planned messages’ are not me at all...and completely out of my comfort zone...
...this year, I’ve properly spent time back on TiBB, reconnecting with the forum again ...and just generally reconnecting and engaging interest with so much in my life that was lost in my physical fight with breast cancer and so much emotional stuff...I did come back for a little while last year...but as some of you know, my OH lost his job, so TiBB had to be put on hold for a little while longer...quand il pleut, il pleut....
...the thing about life changing things, is that they can take you in directions and on paths that you wouldn’t normally have gone down...one of my son’s planned paths changed because he wanted to be with me ...and because of that delay and a change of course ...?...he’s now the happiest he’s ever been in his life...and it’s something that was only there for him in that moment in time/an opportunity... and wouldn’t have been, before I became ill...my OH has had another job for almost 1 year and it’s a job that fits him and fits us much more perfectly...it’s a change that probably wouldn’t have been made but should have been made...
...there are some on TiBB, I know...whose lives are not where they had hoped or planned them to be...and it’s really so very difficult at times, to see a ‘bigger picture’ beyond that because it can be such an emotional struggle...and changes of direction can really throw us, so that we feel overwhelmed and despaired...but out of that can come so much good stuff, so many changes that we never would have made but that are so totally right for us, because it’s so often all intertwined with balances...I didn’t sleep well last night so my head is a bit fuzzy, so my message to you, to all of you...but especially to those who have or are feeling confused through changes in paths and the journeys that they’re finding themselves on...is this little old Chinese story...which is something I’ve always boringly quoted to my sons at times in their lives...I’m just going to copy and paste a version of it because it’s easier than typing it in my own words...
One day in late summer, an old farmer was working in his field with his old sick horse. The farmer felt compassion for the horse and desired to lift its burden. So he left his horse loose to go the mountains and live out the rest of its life.
Soon after, neighbors from the nearby village visited, offering their condolences and said, "What a shame. Now your only horse is gone. How unfortunate you are!. You must be very sad. How will you live, work the land, and prosper?" The farmer replied: "Who knows? We shall see".
Two days later the old horse came back now rejuvenated after meandering in the mountainsides while eating the wild grasses. He came back with twelve new younger and healthy horses which followed the old horse into the corral.
Word got out in the village of the old farmer's good fortune and it wasn't long before people stopped by to congratulate the farmer on his good luck. "How fortunate you are!" they exclaimed. You must be very happy!" Again, the farmer softly said, "Who knows? We shall see."
At daybreak on the next morning, the farmer's only son set off to attempt to train the new wild horses, but the farmer's son was thrown to the ground and broke his leg. One by one villagers arrived during the day to bemoan the farmer's latest misfortune. "Oh, what a tragedy! Your son won't be able to help you farm with a broken leg. You'll have to do all the work yourself, How will you survive? You must be very sad". they said. Calmly going about his usual business the farmer answered, "Who knows? We shall see"
Several days later a war broke out. The Emperor's men arrived in the village demanding that young men come with them to be conscripted into the Emperor's army. As it happened the farmer's son was deemed unfit because of his broken leg. "What very good fortune you have!!" the villagers exclaimed as their own young sons were marched away. "You must be very happy." "Who knows? We shall see!", replied the old farmer as he headed off to work his field alone.
As time went on the broken leg healed but the son was left with a slight limp. Again the neighbors came to pay their condolences. "Oh what bad luck. Too bad for you"! But the old farmer simply replied; "Who knows? We shall see."
As it turned out the other young village boys had died in the war and the old farmer and his son were the only able bodied men capable of working the village lands. The old farmer became wealthy and was very generous to the villagers. They said: "Oh how fortunate we are, you must be very happy", to which the old farmer replied, "Who knows? We shall see!"
...I wish all of you and your families, a very happy Christmas ...and a very safe 2020, with many possible paths to bring you joy......
...the song I give you is not a traditional Christmas song...but the lyrics are perfect, I think...and Joni is my heart and soul....
It's coming on Christmas,
They're cutting down trees.
Putting up reindeer
Singing songs of joy and peace,
Oh, I wish I had a river I could skate away on...
GpFudDAYqxY

Well Ammi. That was absolutely lovely. In fact lovely doesn't really do it justice I have to say.
I did not know (with being away from the forum for such a long time) that you had battled breast cancer and you speak about it now in such an open and honest way. God bless you.
You are such a lady and an inspiration to many on this forum. You are our Queen so there really was no-one else I considered when I asked you specially to do the Christmas Day message in this thread.
Its been a pleasure and an absolute delight to host this thread and everyone that took part is wonderful for doing it. Tibb truly is a great community and I am proud to be part of it. Thank you for your contributions.
In closing I wish each and every one of you the best Christmas ever so far and a happy and healthy New Year.
Lets raise a glass to James and Josy and the Mods team too for all their hard work behind the scenes.
Lots of love for the festive season xx
Kate.
