How strange this thread should be moved. I thought serious debates was a place for politics. It's not like the "other side" never make a "joke". Maybe we should be told the criteria we should use for using humour in serious debates and news.

Its a serious debate thread as there is no humour in it at all he makes very good serious points on both sides of the debate. I guess the helpful mod did not watch the video and reacted to the title?

Yes Johnathon Pie
I have posted his videos on my Political threads
But I guess alone as a thread
its not the same.
If he got a Ch4HD show

it would be mega.
He has appeared on GMBHD itv

Maybe... I thought it was really interesting, especially considering his own stance on Brexit.

As a remain voter, I agree with him entirely, I am almost embarrassed to be a remainer at times some of the rhetoric involved comes across as so smug and that remainers are so much more in touch with everything political than leavers are.

A lot of the purported benefits of Brexit were pretty much debunked during the campaign to the point that one of Gove's famous quotes was that they had enough of 'experts' that were telling them what they didn't want to hear. Despite all that, despite all the evidence telling them that the Leave side was full of ****, people still voted for them. I think most people that voted leave were at least easily led or uninformed.
Everything that has 'come to light' now was known back then. We knew the bus was bull****, every economic expert worth their salt all over the world warned against the dangers and Leave's lies were obvious back then (Leaving without a deal is project fear! Never gonna happen if you vote leave!). People just chose not to pay attention. ****ing boo hoo to anyone who voted leave and now has egg on their face.

I'm just going to come out on the side that yes you fell for a dupe...a big fat pre planned tory dupe.
Brexit had been in the pipeline for at least a decade before the referendum imo.
I'm not trawling for evidence but it's there should anyone care to look.
For me brexit isn't even the issue any longer, we've been out of Europe and been ok. It's the distinct lurch right that a Tory brexit hails that concerns me. We are not only moving away from Europe economically but also ideologically.

Are you not allowed YouTube?
i think someone has missed a big opportunity by not creating the "Don't give a ****" party. Leave or remain, i really don't care any more ... whatever we end up doing I will deal with it, the same as every body else. There are far more important pressing issues that affect people personally here and now that need to be addressed.

This is the attitude we take, I do care, but whatever happens needs to happen, we will deal with it,its not like the world is going to end.
