Jade Goody has given birth to a baby boy - four weeks early.

GMTV's Fiona Phillips broke the news during an early morning chat with co-presenter Richard Arnold.

The former Big Brother contestant, who comments on Big Brother 4 for GMTV, last appeared on the show just four days ago.

She was due to come in to the studio today and give her views on the latest happenings in the house.

Jade met boyfriend Jeff Brazier last September and now shares a £300,000 rented home with him in Thurrock, Essex.

An update from Channel 4 News - the baby's name is Bobby Jack Brazier. :thumbs:

Big Brother star Jade Goody has given birth four weeks prematurely to a baby boy.

Bobby Jack Brazier was born last night, weighing 5lb 7oz. Mother and baby were both in good health, Goody's spokeswoman said.

Goody, 21, had a natural birth and was in labour for just over nine hours. She said: "I'm absolutely delighted. Bobby's a beautiful boy and we're both doing well."

The former reality TV star is understood to have given birth in the exclusive Portland Hospital in London, where celebrity mothers such as Victoria Beckham and Liz Hurley had their babies.

Boyfriend Jeff Brazier, who was at the birth, said: "I'm over the moon. Jade did brilliantly and I'm really proud of her. She was determined to have a natural birth and only had a little gas and air towards the end."

The couple, who met last year, share a home in Thurrock, Essex.

Goody became a household name after appearing on the last series of Big Brother.

She has since released a fitness video and is soon to appear in another Channel 4 show, Celebrity Wife Swap, in which she moves in with Major Charles Ingram of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? fame.

There's a not very nice article about Jade in today's Online Sun by our old 'friend' Dominic Mohan - CLICK HERE (http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2003251757,00.html) to read it.

One interesting fact he points out - and which I hadn't cottoned on to before - is that the initial's of Jade's new baby are B.J.! :shocked: :laugh: :shocked:

I had noticed the baby's initials are B.J. particularly unfortunate initials to saddle the poor kid with, given what his mother is famous for! Poor little devil!

Also though he is Bobby Brazier or BB for short.

JADE BANS DRUG FATHER FROM BABY

BIG Brother favourite Jade Goody has banned her dad from seeing his new grandson after his latest drugs rap.

Andy Goody, 40, broke down in jail last night as he begged his daughter not to kick him out of baby Bobby's life.

He said Jade, 22, who gave birth on Monday, told him to stay off drugs or clear off.

Andy said: "I told Jade I was off drugs - now I've let her down. Her mum told me, 'she's not happy with you'. I fear I've thrown away my last chance."

Andy has been in and out of jail since Jade, of Thurrock, Essex, was little. He is in Pentonville Prison, North London, after being caught with drugs last month .
