View Full Version : The Apprentice 2019 Week 8 BBC1 9PM

It’s Week Eight, and Lord Sugar instructs the candidates to put on their high-visibility jackets and meet him at the Battersea rail depot. There he reveals that it's full steam ahead for this task, in which the teams will be hosting a corporate away day onboard the iconic Belmond British Pullman train.
The candidates will have to lay on food, drink and entertainment while securing a good ticket price from the corporate clients to ensure a large profit. The task requires the teams to show off their organisation and hospitality skills. Get off track and they could end up with a one-way ticket home.
For one team the journey gets off to a bumpy start, while the others are left covering their tracks as they are faced with hungry guests. As this runaway train pulls in to the station, the candidates head back to the boardroom to face Lord Sugar’s scrutiny. For one candidate, it’s the final stop on their journey, as they are told – 'You’re Fired!'

Looking real good for Carina at the moment. On the other hand, it's not looking good for Thomas.

^ Sugar doesn't care about track record he literally just chooses his fave, as proven with Lucinda & Joanna who won 8 out of 10 tasks and didn't even get put through to the final two, or Iasha who was fired despite being the only candidate to have won every prior task.

Very true, his decisions make the entire process seem pointless 90% of the time. He keeps the useless 'cheeky geeza' and the controversial woman for towards the end and just gets rid of all the business ideas hes not fond of until we picks whoever he wanted to begin with imo

Lottie had a very lucky escape this week, she was awful on this task and can only assume she’d have been the one to be fired.

Honourable King Thomas strikes again, god I love that man

I'm surprised that Lottie's team won, Ryan-Mark's was technically a better experience, and the guests were happier. The two things which caused their team to fail - spending money on the musicians and not checking for allergies - were both out of Ryan-Mark's hands, Thomas made the decision without consulting the PM. If he hadn't done that, their team would have won.

I think the show made it quite easy, they were showing up all the faults of Lotties team and no so much with Ryan Marks so a bit of a red herring for me

Thomas rang Ryan Mark so he didn't book the musicians without Ryan Marks approval, and as Marianne said Ryan Mark was dancing when they were booked, that said I didn't want him to go I thought he brought a lot to the show

Also just found out that Lewia and Lottie had a fling wtf!? Would never have put them two together! :skull:

AND NOW Lottie is dating Ryan Mark!?!

Lottie and Dean have fallen to the bottom of the pack tbh. Especially Dean.

Thomas/Marianne are pretty weak, leaving Carina/Lewis/Scarlett/Pamela as the strongest four in my opinion.

Right person went though although Lottie had a very lucky escape. Knew RM team would lose after the dietery mix up.

I love Thomas. I would marry him! Do you think he will pull a Jim and could win eventhough he hasn't won any tasks bar one?

I like Carina. And I'm liking Lottie more. Eventhough she's a bitch her facial expressions are hilarious.

I think Carina and Pamela will be the final two.

In the American version, someone got fired after saying they'd give up their safety and go back into the boardroom, because it's such a stupid move. He's lucky this is the UK version where people fawn over the slightest bit of niceness.

Dean is a bit of deadwood tbh, all he says is "yeh" and looks like he doesn't understand what's happening.
