I have only just caught up on tonights episode and was raging when Andrew felt so DRAINED by the trial he decded to take a NAP when he came back instead of doing his duties. What a f ucking plonker. It was one of the easiest trials ever. And dont get me STARTED on James. He is one of the most chauvanistic men ever to go into the jungle. I have gone RIGHT OFF HIM

The women don't do anything so the least they could do was washing a few tin pots.

Andrew always seems tired  ,and it was only a few washing up pots but again it looked like it was turning into a unnecessary squabble.

He is a bit of a wimp....he did well in the task although it wasn’t terribly difficult. He needs to man up... I don’t think he is respected in there because of his bizarre behaviour.

...didn’t he just say than he would do them after his nap..?...it only seemed to be James and Ian who had such an issue with him having a nap and we see others napping in the camp all of the time...James even redressed Kate for being fine with it and not having an issue...maybe they didn’t like that him enjoying his moment of glory for doing so well in the trial.../...it felt like pantomime season with the two ugly sisters...get back to your chores, Cinders..:fist:...

...disclaimer: they are not ugly people though, but they seemed to be feeding each other with their annoyances...

He just wanted a nap, he hasn't slept well during any of the nights and knowing he was headed for a trial probably made him lose sleep too. He was going to help with the dishes after the nap anyway. They should have just got on with their lives.

...yeah i think that doing so well in the trial and feeling proud of himself...?...probably released an army of sleeping hormones that just took over...but he he always intended to wash the pots after his nap, which is what he said to Ian...that he hadn’t realised that they had to be done immediately...which they didn’t...sharing chores is important in that environment/dynamics, obviously ...but sleep and rest is also equally as important...and saying that he would do them after his rest was the perfect balance...

They made such a big deal about a 70 year old women doing the dishes, but James gave Caitlyn that job, there does seem to be easier jobs like the ridiculous one pumping the gas, I didn't see any issue with doing the dishes later, it was between Caitlyn and Andrew, she wanted to do them, he wanted to do them later, why should she get preference as to when they were done? he was only taking a nap so we have to assume he would have got round to them in an hour or so? there is definitely more to his treatment in there than we are seeing and he is pushing their buttons, that is how I see it, not sure why Ian needed to get involved, James is the leader, it was none of Ians business in all honesty

When you see the size of the vat they have to bring the dishes to get them washed it is no job for a 70 year old woman James!

Yep agree, Andrew can be a bit annoying but I don't see what their big issue was with it, what's the harm in waiting half an hour or so, they're doing **** all in there all day anyway. I'd have lost the plot with ian and James trying to order me around, no one else seemed bothered only "King of the Chivalry James" such an annoying idiot (oh and Ian but he's annoyed by everything apparently)

Yeah he does come across a bit like ‘me man, you woman, I hunt, you clean’ in trying very hard to be chivalrous and ‘respectable’ he’s portraying himself as a very agressive control freak, that thinks he knows better than everyone else, especially women

Yes, I get the feeling that James is very old fashioned in his views.
But I like him anyway.
It's Ian who was out of order.
Andrew only wanted a nap.
He would have helped with the dishes afterwards.

James as the camp leader should have done that.

Andrew had just won them dinner in his first proper trial and the first solo one, he probably had an adrenaline rush during the trial too, let him have an hours nap, the dishes can wait.

Ian is a prick, he totally overreacted. Caitlyn was fine with doing the dishes and Kate was happy to help out. Andrew had just done a trial and wanted a nap, what's the problem?

James, Myles and Roman were petty aswell making little digs. I think they see him as the weakest guy in there so just find any reason to talk badly about him.

As I said in the main thread this is totally down to Ian and James being pricks tbh, Andrew is guilty of starting most of the quibbles he’s been in but this was blatant gang mentality and just a bit mean tbh from Ian and James. They could have had a word with him before he napped and explain that his chores needed to come first but everyone waited until he went off to have their little bitch. I can guarantee if it was anyone else they’d have been completely fine with it. Even Caitlyn said she was completely fine with him going for a nap

Well yeah that's the crux of it really isn't it, If Myles or Roman had just come back from a trial and said they were tired, there's no way Ian or James would have batted an eyelid, probably would have went and tucked them in and all pfft

James is a typical “rugby lad” that I remember from school and college, try to make out they’re of a better moral standing/manners and a great person but it just masks their toxic masculinity and cuntishness

That whole thing the other day when he wouldn’t let Kate speak yet he was harping on about good manners letting women go first?

And would have been crucified if he’d have given Ian food (and I bet the show runners would have docked more than one star for the drama)

Also the reaction for his ten stars was definitely muted in comparison to other people, and he did it all on his own...

I’m saying all of this and I don’t even like Andrew tbh :joker:

Yeah, spot on about his interaction with kate, if he respected her/women he would have let her give her opinion and treated her opinion as equally important as his. Not just tell her to pipe down and do what he says basically.

I saw Ola Jordan (can’t stand her but still) on Twitter say if it was her year she’d have let the men go first because they seem to need it more, well they did in her year. Not sure if I agree with her or not but James would have just shut her down. Personally I’d have gone age/health first

Well the men (not all of them) are the ones constantly complaining about how hungry they are so there's some logic in that. Personally though I think they should have just threw their canteens in a bag and picked the order at random. All of them wanted to be at the dinner and I don't think anyone deserves it more than anyone else

Obviously I am the only one that feels he didnt NEED a nap after the trial. If I hadnt seen the trial I would have thought it was very very hard on the body and he was exhausted after it but it was the easiest I have ever seen. I do however agree that James and Ian need to be taken down a peg or two. They dont OWN the camp

He might have been exhausted, not due to the trial but the heat, and he hasn't been sleeping, its not like he said he wasn't going to wash up, he said they would do it afterwards, Caitlyn wasn't fussed, I think James and Ian take every opportunity to promote themselves and its basically annoying

Niamh.

Yeah he may not have needed it but tbf he had mentioned earlier in the episode he hadn't slept well the night before so he could have just been tired because of that. Either way why does it matter, no one was bothered only James and Ian, on behalf of someone else who wasn't bothered at all
