Been excited for this since it was announced  Wonder Woman is my favourite DC film. I really hope this is good as the first one, it's going to be hard to top.
...what Dezzy and Luke said...Wonder Woman is my favourite DC movie and it’s a tough act to follow...she looks amazing, though...that trailer looks incredible.....

It aound like the original but cut into pieces

Hans is the film composer so it was right in his pop era

It looks pretty great, apparently it's due out in October but I doubt it'll be released in cinemas.
The Cheetah looks interesting, a picture of her was leaked a fair few months back and she looked quite different, maybe they took these past few months to redo her look.
There must be boob exploitation in this film or its no real.
I shall withhold my judgement.

...this is such a different type role for Kristen to any we’ve seen before, she’s one of my favourite actresses, I’m so looking forward to seeing her Cheetah...:flutter:...Gal as WW has always been my DC favourite hero......

Not that half of the UK will be able to see it
They probably should have opted for a deal with a streaming service for the UK.

The reviews have been highly positive so far, I'm looking forward to seeing it, whenever that will be.

I really wanna see this. Now I'm finished work til Jan I'm basically shielding for the Christmas period, and my local cinema doesn't have assigned seating so I can't book a seat away from people and see how packed it will be ...
If it were Disney I'd have no problem pirating it, but in this case I don't wanna...
I might buy a ticket and then find a pirate copy online haha, so I'd still be supporting it without going in, and still see it...

Yeah it's pretty good. The best comicbook movie of 2020 - not that it had any competition :joker:

It has it's flaws, the narrative is definitely ropey in places but it's a fun watch, probably not as good as the first one but it's very different. Wonder Woman is a character that's always had two interpretations to her character, in the first film, we saw Diana the Warrior armed with a sword and shield and ready to do what needed to be done, naive and hopeful, but hardened nonetheless but in this film we get Diana the lover, someone who only fights to protects and goes to lengths to insure no one comes to harm. I like that they tried to bring both interpretations of her character together.
My main issue besides the ropey storyline is that they kinda wasted Cheetah, Max Lord was a pretty good villain that felt different from your typical comic book villains but it felt like they threw Cheetah in there just so Diana had someone to fight in the last act. I think they should have saved that transformation for the third instalment and just kept Barbara as Barbara for this one.

Well it's not brilliant by any means, especially compared to the first one. It's better than "just okay", and obviously the best comicbook movie of 2020, which isn't saying much, aha

I thought it was pretty bad and mostly because the villain (and his power) is terrible for a film.
is it on any legit streaming platform?

While when it comes to comics I'm a "DC fanboy", I don't really know much of Wonder Woman when she's not in the League. It took me ages to get over how Bats and Supes were portrayed in the Snyderverse, aha. But I don't read Shazam or Wonder Woman, and I loved both of their first films.
The Birds of Prey comics (by Chuck Dixon and then Gail Simone) were so good that I don't think I'll ever "forgive" that crappy movie tbh. It should have been like a female-led cross between Ocean's Eleven and John Wick, with the team being led by a woman in a wheelchair. I'm not usually fussed either way about representation in movies, but Babs Gordon as Oracle is awesome.

It has issues that become more apparent as time goes by but I enjoyed it. It's very different to the first film, the first film felt more modern (despite being set in WW1) while this one feels a lot more like Richard Donner's Superman. It's not a bad thing but the difference can be a little jarring.

I was about to call this a topic reference with the Snyder Cut coming soon, as I recently got the Donner Cut of Superman II, I completely forgot he also directed the first one :joker:

The casting of Kristen Wiig was odd from the start.
i watched it today, £16 :skull:

They rushed Cheetah, Kristin was a good Barbara and they should have considered keeping her as Barbara for this film and then doing the whole Cheetah thing in WW3. The only reason she becomes Cheetah is so that Diana has someone to fight in the third act, which is a waste.

I have to wonder what the people panning the movie are expecting? It's just another (should-be) summer blockbuster adventure popcorn movie, it doesn't need to be anything it isn't.
Sure, it's not Shazam levels of good, but nor is it Birds of Prey levels of bad. But it does its job, that's all that matters.
