me too, was actually past my usual bedtime when it ended but it was so worth watching

our dutch commentators went completely wild, when she had all those 180's

What a great achievement, hopefully it's just the start and we see more women in sports like these that are typically dominated by men.

It makes me wonder why you don't tend to see many women in sports like these where intergender competition is viable.

The Japanese lady nearly did it the other night too. Great TV drama

Darts is one of the few sports where women compete alongside/against men at every level of the game so was only a matter of time before this happened

I play in a league where most teams have at least one female player and I've lost to most of them as well!

I don't have much to do with darts but I am following it a bit more because of her. I'll always support trailblazers that can break the glass ceiling.

she was also 3 darts away from recording the first ever televised 9 dart finish by a woman

She did great, but any man who ever played darts knows there is added pressure when playing a woman.

We are in agreement.

Anyone that gets thrown off by the fact that she's a woman to the point that they can't respect her as an equal competitor deserves to lose. Step up to the plate or get cast aside.

Easy to say at the end of the match, he was not on fire at the beginning
:fan:

Good job Fallon, her doubles were phenomenal at times :cheer2:

who cares about beginning of a match, the end result matters mostly in darts

you can make horrible starts to a match and still end up winning and that is what Dobey also proved

but yes Fallon can be proud of herself, also some great finishes from her where Dobey also looked quite impressed at

and Fallon got herself a invite to a major darts tournament in my country, to play alongside MVG :D so she made a name for herself this pdc world cup :clap1:

Why?

Does she get criticism from some women I mean.

They dont like how successful she is, and dont support here, cheering for opponents and stuff like that....horrible really

Those people should be appreciating what she's doing for female Darts players imo.

Think some were annoyed initially because they'd been playing darts at a really high level for a long time and Sherrock wasn't the best female player at the time but was suddenly treated like the first woman to throw darts well

She has more than proven herself over a few years now though so it's not like her early wins over the men were a fluke
