I watched the Tim Burton one the other night. Prefer it tbh.

The dentist backstory stuff is a bit too Edward Scissorhands but I just love the aesthetic of the factory etc. The 70s one is way too twee and the set design was sh*t.

The original is soo much better. With Tim Burton movies, watching them isthe same as NOT watching them. By that I mean hearing "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Tim Burton" and "Alice by Tim Burton" and seeing their posters basically gives you everything the movies do, it's all just on the surface.

The only thing the original got well was the creepy boat ride. The rest was cheesy rubbish.
