Anyone remember the old show My Family? I watched all of the Christmas specials recently <3 my favourite one is when Janey got married, or maybe the one with the trees.

Though the future one is funny, when Janey was really fat, and the "futuristic computer" was basically Alexa:joker:

I seen them all humourous of times and it's one of like only 10 box sets I own

Relied a little too heavily on the laughter track. It wasn't the worst comedy of all time but I don't look back on it with any fondness.

First few seasons were great, fell apart in the last couple.

I always enjoy watching it however.

Pretty much, the later seasons aren't as good but they're all enjoyable. I don't think "it was rubbish without Nick" though. I liked Alfie more, but it's obvious he was there because they wanted a character of the same age etc, it's not really realistic Ben and Susan would let him live there rent-free. Abi I can understand, being their niece. ..

Loved watching this when I was younger.

Nick was hilarious.

I really enjoyed the first 3 or 4 series with Nick. Especially with Abi after Janey goes to university.

Then it just got terrible with that Welsh bloke and everyone got stupider and stupider. That seems to happen in most sitcoms that go on too long.

Not a bad show in its day though.

It was good but it got a bit crap when they brought Alfie in

and the kid who played Kenzo was terrible, he had to look at cue cards every time, you could see his eyes looking

Speaking of which, whatever happened to Janey. She was in a lot of stuff back in the day. Not seen her on TV in years.

Apart from a guest spot in Silet Witness she hasn't done anything since Waterloo Road and I'm not sure anybody knows why

That was the last thing I remember seeing her in, Waterloo Road. But I didn't see much as I'd gone off that show by then.

I thought I saw Janey in an episode of New Tricks, as an uncredited nurse. I think it's pretty unlikely to be her, as the actress was probably "too big" for a role like that, but it looked exactly like Janey in S5, with the long curly hair.

Do you remember when Janey was in Eastenders a very long time ago? that was the first thing i saw her in.

Nick dressed in drag remains one of my all time favourite things in a UK sitcom.

When he went to the pub in drag, and Ben's friends thought he was his mistress :joker:

The episode they go on holiday to Spain is a good one I watched the other day.

When Ben and Susan are starving and Michael and Nick have a load of dosh.

It was a bit dull the characters changed but the format stayed the same boomers frustrated at gen x. It must've been exhausting thinking of things for the dad to get excessively frustrated about.

Apparently Zoë (Susan) & Robert (Ben) refused to film an episode because the writing was so poor lol

I always felt they did too many series , definitely ran out of steam in the later series . But i always just found it ok , wasn't my number 1 comedy to watch. And Alfie was a odd replacement and kenzo wasn't the best .

I heard that lol

Apparently they repurposed the script for a crappy sitcom called After You've Gone!
