‘Their fave’? It’s not a reality show
I’m not really a big fan of any of the royals, but there’s no denying the racial undertones of the abuse and treatment she receives, whether it be from the public, or the media, not everyone is racist obviously, despite what the likes of Piers, Schofield and Holmes likes to say is being thrown around, but there is a big portion of the treatment of Meghan which does stem from racism, in my opinion

A gold digger worth millions in her own right? K
She was full of praise on her Tig site for her father before she met Harry, excerpts were released - how he worked hard to pay to send her to the best schools and university in LA. How he was the greatest father in the world blah blah. Then she blatantly lies when giving a college speech about she knows how hard it is to put yourself through colllege, she knew what is was like, all the jobs she had to take etc etc. Lying in full view, and not caring....
Imagine not even taking the time to introduce her future husband to her father.

When you have a difficult relationship with your parents, you can and will lie to other people about it because it's easier than unloading the truth on people. You want to paint a happier picture because you want it to be true.
If she did slate him, you and everyone else would use it against her. She cannot win either way.

Nope she's done herself no favours with royalists and racist (like she had a chance anyway) I can't imagine the average person actually cares how she and Harry want to live their lifes. Also her wedding made far more money than it cost before you continue the scrounger route.
The poor man was left to cope on his own after the romance hit the headlines with dozens of press camped outside his door and following him around taking unflattering pics of him looking dishevelled and buying some beers.
Then his other daughter sets it up that they get a few pics of him in a more controlled and flattering light and BOOM, Meghan and Harry come down on him like a ton of bricks and Harry apparently read him the riot act.
That was when it all started to go wrong. He should have been shown the respect of being introduced to Harry and given protection from the press. He was given no advice or direction at all.

Thats a terribly weak excuse. Its well known that he gave her everything and adored her. Google it. She said so, her friends said so before she decided to ruthlessly cut him out of her life.

The 'poor' man invited the paparazzi to snap pictures of him getting a suit fitted for a wedding he wasn't invited to because he wanted to make a quick buck.
He courted the press just like Samantha Markle did.
Meghan's dad wasn't in her life by all accounts, they were estranged so why should Meghan introduce Harry to someone she had cut ties with? Judging from how her father has acted, it was for good reason.

She is seeing dollar signs in their hundreds of millions trading off their royal status in N. America with commerical ventures and getting millions for attending galas and making speeches. Consorting with the likes of Oprah and the Clooneys who wouldn't have looked twice at her as a B list actress.
I doubt she ever intended to stay in the UK when she married Harry in the first place, by all accounts Miss Diva is mega ambitious. He was her entry into where she wanted to get to - and he has tagged along.

Andrew is a prince and he needed Epstein to provide "introductions"
Financial Times
https://www.ft.com/content/09096336-32f9-11ea-9703-eea0cae3f0de
Drawing inspiration from the Obamas, the Clintons and the commercial savvy of Gwyneth Paltrow, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle this week embarked on a fraught attempt to transform their philanthropic royal brand into a lucrative private business.....
......To find their way the Sussexes are instead looking further afield to the ranks of ex-presidents, prime ministers and Hollywood stars who have turned personal brands — and championing good causes — into formidable income streams.....
......The post-presidency success of Barack and Michelle Obama is one obvious model. Their political afterlife has included a $65m joint book deal with Penguin Random House, and an agreement with Netflix to produce films, worth tens of millions of dollars. Like Bill Clinton and Tony Blair, Mr Obama and his wife are able to charge hundreds of thousands of dollars for speaking appearances.
While on a smaller scale, the pulling power of the Sussexes is likely to be prized by publishers, the television industry and speaking agents. The Duke’s recent deal to make a film series on mental health with Oprah Winfrey and Apple TV is a possible template for other projects.
More controversial will be any moves to extend the Sussex brand to a lifestyle portal that offers a gateway to promoted products or corporate sponsors. One former courtier likened the idea to “a posh, royal version of Goop”, the lifestyle website of the actress Gwyneth Paltrow.
......The groundwork for commercial enterprise has already been laid to some extent. With the announcement of their separate foundation in June, the couple filed trademark applications on “Sussex Royal”. It covered everything from branding “pyjamas, suits, and hooded tops” to “advisory and consultancy services” and “health and wellness training”.

Charles and Camila's 'own brand' is the inherited Duchy of Cornwall, which pays for the Royal's working income, eg, Harry is paid nearly 3 million a year - which the Sussex's want to keep, even though they are leaving...
William and Kate's 'brand' raises millions for their charitable causes only. If you know they are making money for themselves with commerical ventures, give details please....

Your posts consist of calling my opinions guff and made up, you ignored an article backing up my conclusions. I responded by saying your posts are baity and lacking in any substance.
At least I attempt a reasoned argument, when do you?

Hi james....can you pm me the deleted posts please.
Meghan didn't mind when her friends published cherry picked excerpts of the private letter that made her look good and her father bad. Did she take the magazine to court then - no.
When her father published the letter to put it straight he's vilified and the paper is getting sued.

They are made up as the article was nothing more than the assumptions of a journalist.
You seem to mistake those for factual evidence.

Queen Meghan sure has made an impression

Not evidence, but reasoned conclusions based on the long statement the Sussexes made about leaving and wanting financial independence. Have you read it yet?
At least the journalist, and others who drew the same conclusions, are in a position to make 'assumptions', having made the effort to do some groundwork.
If I post something you think is guff, look it up and provide a link to back up your disbelief, post a refuting article or at least state reasons why you think so, otherwise its just meaningless baiting.

It's baiting to point out your use of the word "fact" is wildly incorrect? Ok jet.
Listening to biased journalism is not "groundwork" and does not elevate what amounts to nothing more than malicious gossip to anything more than what it is.
I don't really need to backup my post that the gossip you perpetuate is not factual and comes from no actual source. It's down to you to prove your assumptions, that's kind of how it works.

C'mon Marsh. Prove I don't have an invisible unicorn in my garage.
Reasoned assumptions are all any journalist can make. But 'reasoned' is the key word here if they are coming to conclusions from what the source themselves have said, in this case, the Sussex'es themselves.
And do I have to repeat again that I only trust the opinions of the respected royal correspondents. They have proved to be right time and time again and 'in the know' over many years - many times when I didn't want them to be. I seek out what they are saying for that reason.
So sneer at me all you like for doing some reading because it isn't what you want to hear. Time will tell.
It's down to you to prove your assumptions, that's kind of how it works.
But you don't have to prove yours? :smug:

Oh yes I'll sneer at what you choose as reading material but that has nothing to do with you misunderstanding fact, opinion and fiction.
Read what you like Jet, but don't pretend your fiction is fact. :)

Nice man. He was Meghans hero and worked hard to give her everything, she said so herself, until she met Harry and was too ashamed of where he lived and his appearance to let him meet her future posh husband.

A nice man that tried to make money on his daughter's engagement by setting up situations with the paparazzi and selling stories on his own daughter.
If this was anybody else's father but Meghan's, I don't believe for a second you would defend them.

He refused payment for any other interviews, the papers and media involved made a point of saying so.

How do you know what motivated her? Can you mind read?
And dont start with "respected royal correspondents" bc they can't mind read either.
Btw do you know those correspondents are widely disliked by all members of the royal family? For being nosey and presumptuous hacks.

They get gossip from staff and they get hostile briefings from time to time.
Neither can be considered objective source unless backed up by evidence and corroborated by independent sources.
When Woodward and Bernstein broke the Watergate scandal they sought 3 independent sources of every scrap of info they dared to publish. That's journalism not hack job for clicks or money

Yet they are proved right over and over again. You really don't know that the Royals leak stuff bit by bit so big dramas that are coming have less impact on the public?- they've been doing it for years.

...apparently according to the lawyers for The Mail On Sunday and Mail Online ...Meghan must have been fully aware that the letter would be published because her handwriting was so neat...I guess it’s a parent’s back in the day advice, like always wear clean underwear etc...’just in case your letters are published by the national media, make sure we can all read them, my love...neat, neat, neat at all times...’...

The Mail will Win in Court
Meghan is on sticky ground because unless the newspaper obtained the information illegally, privacy does not apply. If her father gave them a copy, they are perfectly entitled to publish it. They are also under no obligation to either print the whole letter or provide context to the parts they did publish
Seems to me her gripe is really with her father and that is extremely unfortunate if it gets aired in court

Wether her father gave them the letter or not, I think there are guidelines and laws in place involving the manipulation of communications to skew the original meaning for a false narrative that the media have to adhere to.
I personally feel that it’s about time for another inquiry, our media, the majority of it run by only 4 people, has turned into such utter trash, in a time of political upheaval and divisiveness, media outlets should not be allowed to put out such biased, corrupt coverage as they have done for the past couple of years.
The whole point of a free press is that there are very few restrictions on what they can print. Meddling with that will only be for the worse

Free press yes, that’s the right to report on any story they want to, but they’re not allowed to purposely deceive and misconstrue something to achieve a false story

They should have slipped away quietly. No one would have noticed... instead we have another Meghan Media Circus. Far from taking them out of the limelight, the press are even more frantic to get to them now. Boring. Enough already.
