View Full Version : Just who are the forum trolls..
Hi guys and gals and people who don't identify as either .
Can I ask you all a simple question please so we can discuss it maturely..
How can members who have been here for ten years and more be called trolls by members who have been here for about 2 years?
Simple question...

If always amazes me when anyone goes against the flow of a convo or thread with a different take on things and they get called a troll or WUM

I 100 percent agree with that...but it's like going to a local pub and poking the old bloke sat on a chair...his chair...and glass....one they have earned over the years..some young team start drinking in the pub. ..start poking him...wanting him out..

There are many types of trolling. You see a lot of different types all over the place online, it's not just on this forum. Everyone has their own definition of it too. There are people who disagree with the majority on certain topics just for the sake of it, to me that's trolling. There are people who type in a certain way or dumb themselves down for attention, also trolling in my eyes. Most people don't seem to be trolls though, some act in ways that they wouldn't irl or keep details about themselves and their lives to themselves which doesn't bother me at all but I hate when people use the names and pictures of other people, I find that dishonest, but not trolling. I don't know why.

I remember the person who won the Eurovision games outed me as a troll in one of his songs.
That was fun since I never interacted with him <33

I only really come on here for my online kicks..maybe fb as well a bit but just on my own page..so I wouldn't be able to comment on your post. ..I like it though,
I would however always be myself online..and not even think about using someone elses details to hide behind...That's a step further than trolling and should be BANNED if possible..

Well. .I hope you believe me...
But back on topic, and as a ten year plus member yourself...does it get your goat when someone has the audacity to call you a troll when they have been on the forum for about 2 years?
It doesn't matter how long someone has been a member they can still be a troll or intentionally troll at times by posting targeted comments, attempting to attract negative reactions and so on.
Thread like this could be seen as trolling because you are asking members to call others trolls which will then result in the same old never ending cycle of arguing.
And on that note..
