Anything that was too showy or not fit for purpose.

Always thought buying a mansion is a dumb thing for billionaires to do, just get a nice apartment, nobody needs all that space.

A watch. I hate the feeling of something on my wrist, so an expensive watch would be an expensive desk decoration.

Oh this I agree with too

I'd agree with those absurdly expensive watches. I actually like wearing watches, but there's no need for one that expensive.

Jewellery that costs hundreds of thousands of pounds. Watches too - Like Marshy said. And cars that cost more than a detached family home. Ridiculous.

I agree with the Watches and Mansion answers.

Stupidly expensive clothing from brands like Gucci. Don’t get me wrong I like some expensive brands like Ralph Lauren etc. But there is no way I’d pay like £900 for a plain black jumper with a little Gucci emblem sewn onto it.

Oh yes, I agree with this. I have a few hardworking Armani suits I bought for work that I've had for years and which never go out of style, and they're often to be seen paired with Primark tops and shirts. I've already had my money's worth out of them. But ridiculous amounts of money for a pullover or teeshirt is mAdNeSs.

Yes cars, caravans, clothes anything that doesn't hold its value.

Agree with really expensive drinks, was looking at the whiskey list at a hotel we stayed at a couple of weeks back, and there was some ridiculous prices on there €60 for a shot of one particular brand
Can Josy move this to chat and games please.

I’m guessing they mean a car that just does what you need it to do as opposed to having something flashy to show off.

I’d just have a Bentley and pay someone to chauffeur me about. I’d also have a Sat Nav installed that had Derek Laud’s voice. How calming would that be along the A13.

Nah I’d rather Derek. I’d come over all posh as we pull up to a set of lights ”driver could you put the windows up so I don’t have to look at these ghastly ugly people”.

I find most expensive brands like Gucci quite tacky so I agree with those. Would never wear some of the hideous monstrosities even if they were free.
i'm sipping from a £500 bottle of whisky at the moment and it's delicious.
Expensive cars, expensive houses etc are most certainly worth it and the only person it matters to, is the person who bought it, An item is worth whatever people are prepared to pay. In one country I visited, a cafe sold a cup of coffee for hundreds of pounds, and people were queuing to get in
