I believe Barrymore’s always known more than he has let on. I’m not saying that he’s guilty but it just doesn’t add up.

This will haunt Barrymore forever.

When will they let this go? If they had any evidence at all it would have been produced by now.

Was there any mention of the deceased having been raped back then? If not, why not? And why wasn’t it investigated at the time?

Honestly had no idea of that

It seems bizarre he would cover up someone else's actions all this time.

Like, I could understand him at the time trying to salvage his career and reputation but continuing to cover up in the decades that followed when his career was dead anyway? Unless, he does have an involvement in what happened.

Slow weekend for the tabloids, maybe.

there is a fair likelihood that Barrymore was completely off his head on drugs, so he may not have any first hand knowledge of it at all

C4 are doing a documentary on it on the 6th, so this is why it's come up again. The shocking quote for me is:

Mr Jennings, from Essex Police's serious crime directorate, said: "We did make mistakes in terms of the crime scene. A lot of witnesses said it was a tragic accident so we believed them at that point."

Now on BBC too https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-51315670

...it’s all just unspeakably sad for Stuart Lubbock’s father and the rest of his family, who have never been able to find any type of closure with it, in terms of knowing what happened ...

I don't buy that a tonne of witnesses would cover up a straight up murder... But I wonder if there's a chance that someone accidentally killed him while "messing around" (everyone drunk/high as kites... Held him under or something?). I can see a group of people agreeing to say it was accidental then.

Barrymore - although not a favourite of mine - had his career taken away completely and he will never be free of this... and all without one iota of evidence against him, other than it happened at his home during a party. Maybe he knows something, maybe he doesn't, but if there was one piece of evidence that he was involved he would be in the pokey by now.

I agree... humans are awfully unreliable.

Mr Lubbock , the Dad
was on TV News
he is unwell and running out of time to get this solved.

The Police Detective said someone at that party
knows what went on?

Nothing at this time has changed
no more info.

For years this has looked suspicious, I wouldn't be surprised if it was murder or manslaughter the very least  .
