TiBB Music Festival: Oslo 04

It is time to let the competition begin again! I, with Shaun's knowledge AND Riley's (Wizard) lovely ideas, decided to create a spiritual successor to TiBB Eurovision. In August, we were in Pittsburgh, then to the Gold Coast in October, and in Belgrade back in January. Cut to next month, and we'll be saying Hello Oslo! What songs will be heard? Where are the constant translations into French? When will the madness end? No idea.

FORMAT
The format of the TiBB Music Festival will remain similar to TiBB Eurovision, however, there are some changes. I will have a Spotify playlist of all of the songs for you to listen to the songs during the 4 day voting period. For the voting, there will also be 2 sets of points (just like TiBB Eurovision), however, everyone will be sending 1 sets of 4-8, 10, and 12 points for the jury voting, and there will be 1 set of an unknown number of points for televoting.

RULES
- If you want to take part, reply to this thread with the countries you want! But please, if you do reserve a country, I expect an entry.
--From this edition onwards, everyone can choose 2-5 countries to participate as.
- In a change from TiBB Eurovision, participants can now choose a song that is already in the public database (look on Spotify or YouTube, there are plenty of songs on either one).
- Lyrics, an artist name, song title AND music video are all that's required.
- Members may only represent between two and five countries.
- Entries must be submitted to me as soon as possible. The events of the contest will take place over the course of a 1 week period. The final will take place on a Tuesday and the final results will be on the Saturday of the same week.
- And for the first time since Globalvision, countries that are not in Europe or Australia will be able to participate.

You have as much time as you need to find your entries. Please find songs that we all may enjoy, and please don't feel afraid to take part The more entries, the more fun it is to run. Songs can be about anything you like, and whilst we are fairly liberal with what is deemed "in good taste" obviously a song containing 30 different death threats may well find itself lost in my inbox and doomed never to enter.

Like last edition, the Big 6 (the top 6 of the previous edition) will all qualify for the final. All of the countries mentioned below will be free game (sans all of the ones I have, because some things never change with me, and because of the nature of the new participation rule).

Contest Update

Ladies and gents, this is your warning on submissions. Last day for them will be on Saturday.

And it is looking like we will have just a final this edition instead of a semi-final and a final like we did last edition.

Plus I am changing the voting system to the one I currently use for Veggie Brother finals (with one change). Every country's jury will give out 4-8, 10, and 12 points. The televoting however will be done with 1 set of 936 points (52 points from each of the 18 participating countries so far). The points given for the televoting will be based off of proportional representation, but everyone voting will be relegated to just one vote per device to avoid another TiBB Eurovision 2018 incident from happening.

If Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, and Norway (host country) do not submit songs, they will be replaced in the Big 6 by Denmark, Portugal, United Kingdom, and United States.

Contest Update

We have 30 songs (same number as last edition)! Now the editing of the Semi-Final begins.

Plus I am changing the voting system to the one I currently use for Veggie Brother finals (with one change). Every country's jury will give out 4-8, 10, and 12 points. The televoting however will be done with 1 set of 1,560 points (52 points from each of the 30 participating countries). Morgan, the televoting points will be like this example: Say Algeria get 10% of the public vote. I would multiply 10% by 1,560. Algeria would get 156 points.

I have set the voting form to be submitted once per device. This is due to a certain someone no longer on the forum voting hundreds of times and rigging the public voting of TiBB Eurovision 2018 in Kirk's favour.
