A combination of the competition being pretty strong from BGT and the apprentice and I think having all girls at the start and it not being good as some previous years up to a point.

It will pick up again when BGT ends and with a more equal house.

It's not just laughing at crap acts, the last 3 days have been the top acts put through and most of them are very talented and that's what people are tuning in for.

I know some people here will crucify me for saying this but I blame the racist problems BB has had since CBB. The program is regarded as and joked on radio and other television programs as "the racist show".

Maybe alot of people are embarressed to admit they watch a program which allowed so much bad stuff to happen in CBB even though C4 acted swiftly to remove the racist this year (Emily). It's just too little, too late...?

Well this is one issue which may be a cause of low ratings.

Well this is one issue which may be a cause of low ratings.

The ratings during CBB5 became amazingly high, during the race-furore & right until the end of the show.

It was such headline news and so many wanted to see more & more of this controversial drama being displayed on Channel 4

The difference between CBB & BB is the length of the show. It just goes on too long and CBB is a much shorter affair, which certainly appeals to myself:thumbs:

To make viewers watch BB8 They need to enjoy the show & the interest has to stay constant. (That is very hard to do)

Some may say that housemate Emily & the (N) word which just popped out of her mouth, may have caused BB viewers to stop watching the show? That is possible for a 1000 or so viewers possibly? But I would say it is more about the lack of excitement in this years BB show.

It needs to get seriously better.

Charley may be described by some as a girl worth watching? Because she is behaving in such a idiotic & nasty way. But many despise her & once again, perhaps viewers are watching better programmes instead, (In their opinion)

It comes down to so many things really.

Hard to pin-point, but it is Endemol who need to work it all out.

As we have 4 new men in the house now. Things have changed a bit & perhaps we have to look at Charley a little bit differently now.

It is bound to be a combination of what everybody has said.

Ant and Dec will plus Mr Cowell will always have a pull because they are not going to get involved in a load of bull (Even if you and I consider it to be most will think it fantastic).

You then have Emilygate and Charley's constant rows. While some people low the arguments, for others they are a turn off. They seem to be a repeat performance every single night of Charley + one other which can be terribly tedious after a while. All she does is shouts people down and that is not a constructive argument is it?

The other night when the housemates were running around and Seany was leading them in frolics I enjoyed what was going on and I don't like Seany! I think he has the biggest game plan going but I like that night??? Odd that......Who cares though. As long as C4 pull the punters in then that is all that matters and they do it soon.:thumbs:

Like others have said I think it is a combination of reasons. Plain fact is it is one of the most tedious to watch series. Also there is competition.

Britains got talent may not be top entertainment but like BB people will want to watch such shows hoping they are going to see something different....Thus far BB has not really come up with anything different.So people go elsware for entertainment.

The all girl twist was a brave gamble that I believe failed to have entertainment impact.......Squabling girls and hair curlers along with Carole displacing the water in the pool is enough to make one want to emigrate....A huge turn off by any standards.

As a long standing BB fan I keep watching and posting but I am not enjoying.....There are no story lines no plots. The tasks are feeble.

Two weeks in and it's not looking good. I hope after this week CH4 come up with a real interesting twist and kickstart BB into being BB.......If not then this may be the first year since BB1 that I have not retained a copy of a BB series....

And anyway, how cans ome people say its boring: 19 days in, and we've already had an all-girl house (brilliant idea, if you ask me), Ziggy entering, Emily being ejected, Seany and Gerry entering, Lesley leaving, 4 new guys entering, Shabnam being evicted. And on top of that, we've had some fun days with the tasks, and plenty of arguments to watch.

I think it's great this year, and come on... we've still got like 10 or so weeks worth of all that to come - and more! I bet we'll see plenty of twists, if people just stay patient. It'll be worth it in the end.

Also, I think people are taking their chance to watch Britain's got Talent... those programs are entertaining, and they don't come around too often. once it finishes tonight, I think the ratings for Big Brother will rocket up a little.
