View Full Version : Icons/Edit button not working...?...
...I don’t know if this is just me or...
...none of the icons around the text box are working...I can’t press that little postcard thing to insert an image or the YouTube one to insert a vid...the smilies at the side don’t work...(...although I don’t use them anyway, I was just testing them...)...and I tried to add something to a post/edit it...but I wasn’t able to press ‘save’...it was just greyed out and inactive...
...excuse me etc..?...

It has been working perfectly for me.
It has been working perfectly for me.
...it must be the browser or device, maybe..?...I’m on Safari on an iPad...I keep trying it and they’re still not working, I would have to actually type it all in because I can’t click an icon...

I use Google Chrome on my phone and PC, so yeah, it could be browser related.

...it was okay yesterday...(..I think..)...but I’m not sure whether I tried to do gifs later in the day or not...and I never use the smilie icon buttons, I only do smilies that I know the codes for...

Yesterday the ‘joker’ smilie disappears and today it’s the ‘fist’ simile. I’m wondering who’s next to be evicted :worry: I hope it’s not the thumbs up guy .

Can you check if it is working on the Safari browser now. I just changed something that might have been affecting it.
...no it’s still not working for me, James...
...I just tried editing that post as well and I still can’t...I can do the edit itself but the save button doesn’t connect for me...

Can you try deleting the browser cache in Safari.
Clean the Safari cache
Preferences > Privacy > Advanced > Show Develop Menu in Menu Bar
The hidden Safari Developer menu can be used to clear just the cache, leaving cookies and the browser history in place. This is a very useful diagnostic step to take before removing those two items if a website behaves badly.
The Developer menu can be activated by selecting Safari > Preferences, clicking the Advanced icon, then putting a tick alongside Show Develop Menu in Menu Bar. (This option is right at the bottom.)
A new Develop menu option appears to the left of the Window and Help menu options. Close any open Safari windows and select Empty Caches on the Develop menu. Then click File > New Window to start Safari with a clean cache.
