View Full Version : OnlyFans HACKED - 4TB of “data” leaked

A leak of several terabytes of ****ographic images and videos from clip site OnlyFans went viral on Thursday. According to users on Twitter, versions of the leak — being shared via the Mega cloud storage site — contain between 1.5 and 4 terabytes of content.

OnlyFans is a British social media platform popular with influencers, **** actors, and sex workers. It allows users to host images and video content behind a paywall for subscribers.

“This is paid for private content that we own,” **** star and OnlyFans user Jewels Jade told BuzzFeed News, “This is illegal and a violation of our rights.” Jade was unsure if her content had been leaked.

After news of the leak spread, OnlyFans denied anything malicious had happened to its platform.

“We have investigated claims of a site-wide hack and found no evidence of any breach of our systems,” a spokesperson for OnlyFans told BuzzFeed News. “The content contained in the supposed ‘leak’ seems to be curated from multiple sources, including other social media applications.”

The OnlyFans spokesperson did not answer follow-up questions about whether the company had taken steps to stop the spread of the Mega links.

The leak is organized as a directory, with content listed by the date it was first uploaded to OnlyFans and the names performers use on the site. According to Mega links viewed by BuzzFeed News, the leaks include TikTok stars, Instagram models, and amateur **** stars, all of whom use OnlyFans to make money from producing adult content.

Scottish journalist Vonny LeClerc told BuzzFeed News she first noticed people sharing links to the leak when it was trending on Twitter in the UK on Thursday. LeClerc has found at least five Mega folders circulating on social media. As one goes down, many more pop up. She said she’s not sure how the leak was assembled.

“Creators are understandably concerned,” LeClerc told BuzzFeed News. “I have been DM'd by a number of sex workers so they can see if they are on the list. Unfortunately, it seems to have attracted the trolls who are now victim-blaming and calling women 'degenerates.'”

An OnlyFans user, who requested to remain anonymous due to harassment on Twitter, said she was unsure if she had been included in the leak because there were so many different versions of it circulating on Twitter.

“It’s heartbreaking to see the content we’ve all worked so hard to create just be thrown into the hands of the wrong people,” she told BuzzFeed News. “From what I’ve seen pretty much everyone who has an account on OnlyFans has been leaked, but it’s such a huge amount of storage I doubt everyone’s will be seen."

Welp

Going to be honest here and say that I think "empowering sex work" is one of the most misguided and dangerous aspects of modern liberalism. It legitimizes something that if you take a look at the actual facts, is an absolute horror show. From porn to full on prostitution it's an absolute mess of exploitation, misogyny and desperation. And that includes every "self-employed" variant.

It's an industry based on a horrific history of misogyny, exploitation and just utter sadness, but it's important to help keep women (and men) safe.

Sex workers

Prostitution is prostitution? It has a definition and I'm not sure what purpose pretending it's an offensive term serves. Prostitutes are sex workers, not all sex workers are prostitutes (e.g. cam girls are sex workers, but not prostitutes). They're not interchangeable terms? One is a blanket term and one is specific.

Sex workers

lol kay. I thought that was the "generic term", otherwise there's no way to distinguish between people who do actual sex work, and those who share photos and videos of their paraphernalia.

I genuinely didn't realise people got salty over the word "prostitute", so if anyone here was personally offended, I'm sorry you feel that way :)

So long as the attempt to keep the people who are unfortunately still engaging in it as safe as possible - much as addiction services try to keep drug users as safe as possible - isn't mistakenly perceived as it being ACTUALLY safe, or new, or different. It's not just a horrific history, it's a horrific present and a horrific future. There is no sanitised version of sex work and like I said... pretending that there is or can be is just dangerous, and can inadvertently lure young women (especially) into a financial trap that they can't get out of and eventually wish they had never entered. It should never, EVER be regarded as a good or attractive "career"... or anything but an absolutely awful way to make money that most people regret and exit with a myriad of mental health problems - if they exit at all.

I don't disagree with any of this. I do think you're right. I just think safety starts with respecting the workers from the beginning. Changing the term from prostitution to sex work might mask the issues, but it helps transform attitudes towards the women and men who do it as a form of work. It's like calling someone a "drug addict" instead of "junkie" – one respects them as a human and the other doesn't (not that sex work and drug addiction are similar, but the attitudes towards people with addiction are changing and changing terminology does help).

I mean... it isn't... the purpose of it is for sad lonely blokes to blow their load into a mansized tissue or a crusty old sock. Again let's not sanitise it, it's about sex not aesthetics.

:suspect: I meant for the person themselves. Posing for pics and videos is more like the old porn mags than having sex with strangers in a crack den.

The attitudes of the wider public, maybe I could agree on, but the attitudes of the people actually engaging with what's on sale? I highly doubt it. Much as a drug dealer doesn't care whether their next sale is to a junkie or a drug addict. Also "addict" rather than "junkie" is still a negative term, even if respectful... No one is internalising the message; "Oh I would never want to be a junkie - but being a drug addict sounds OK". "Sex worker" is a specific attempt to rebrand prostitution as "as legitimate a job as any other" and like I said, the end result of that is MORE vulnerable and naive young people going down that route with absolutely no idea of the realities of it. I don't know that the trade off is worth it. Trading current people doing it "feeling better about it" for more people being tempted into it?

Most of the old porn mags were pictures of people having sex with strangers in a crack den :suspect:. They just cropped the drug paraphernalia out of the shot or told them to leave it in the bathroom .

(Which I feel serves as a decent metaphor for the surface sanitisation of the industry as a whole...)

Decriminalise and regulate sure - legitimise, no. People come out of it scarred and broken, including most of those who told themself they loved and were empowered by it whilst they were actively doing it. It's not a legitimate career, and it shouldn't be normalised as an acceptable thing to be doing. By which I mean BUYING sex - I fully understand that most people selling it have reasons for ending up there and shouldn't be judged. But yeah I fully reserve the right to judge anyone who would pay for sex, and in fact I have some strong reservations over whether or not bought sex can ever be considered 100% consensual.

The images / vids soon be all over the internet and media and there’d be a terribly negative backlash from the general public ... which on turn will badly effect their media rights value
