Not sure if this has already been talked about , but what do people think to
Taylor Swift's new song ' The Man' :skull: .
Seems a bit man hating to me , and seems to be reinforcing negative stereotypes bringing men down . Is she just wanting to be talked about in the name of "art" and are we meant to laugh at this video ? like a parody? , or is it just another tired political statement ? .

I'm a woman myself before you try to come for me :hee:
cringey, tacky and boring, like most of her stuff.
plus Spice did the whole being a man thing better

Did she lie though
She lost any respect when she turned woke.

About what?? :conf: , not all men look like Tom cruise with a toxic ego & narcissistic trait which seems to be what she's channeling  lol .
Also I think she's doing very well in her music career as a woman , so this song makes zero sense . This is the same person that was sat in a bath of diamonds in
'look what you made me do' music video .
she's not relateable to someone for e.g working in a office trying to get a promotion.

The video is just a visual representation, it’s more in the lyrics. She may not be the same as a woman ‘trying to get a promotion’ but does that mean she cant speak out or stand up for women’s rights and equality?

By bringing men down?? , what was the "world's greatest dad" dig about? .
The lyrics & video just come across silly .

Where did she bring men down though
She literally just made a song about how men do get things easier and that she’d have gotten successful quicker if she was a man

She was over exaggerating the stereotype of a man in society, it’s a little thing called ‘comedy’ :o
And she got successful quickly because she had money and contacts :joker:

What about Billie Ellish? , you going to say she got famous quick due to amazing contacts & loads of money?? .
Back in the Taylor swift days people were getting famous from YouTube , MySpace & Brit school Lilly Allen , Kate Nash & Adele were big back then , Adele still is ! .

No but she was a young girl producing a new style of music that teens are connecting with.
As much as I love her now, the World wasn’t exactly crying out for a teenage country music artist in 2008
