Maybe watching it will put me in the mood to actually start playing it properly... I'm a wimp when it comes to zombie stuff and whilst I enjoyed the hour or two of TLOU I played, I was very much on edge and wanting it to be over :joker:

To be fair, TLOU is the only zombie game where there have been times that I've been utterly ****ing frantic with the tension. Getting rushed and just wildly swinging a 2x4, mashing the controller and screaming. :umm2:

i saw many people speaking their views who should be cast for the characters (here's some of those choices)

Hugh Jackman - Joel

Dafne Keen or Maisie Williams - Ellie, but most want Dafne Keen for that role

Josh Holloway or Nikolaj Coster-Waldau - Tommy

anyway i feel hyped for this, and i hope they put every detail from video game into this too

Hugh Jackman would make a decent Joel. You can't have Hugh and Dafne together though, that's just Logan all over again .

Also Maisie Williams would make an absolutely awful Ellie. Personally I'd say cast an unknown/up and coming young actor for that role.

To make it work they'll have to expand upon the game though; the game essentially only has two "full" characters, and their journey alone works as a game, would even work as a movie, but it's not enough to flesh out a TV show. I think they'll have to use flashbacks (prw-apocalypse for Joel, flesh out the "Left Behind" storyline for Ellie) and maybe introduce other plot lines, e.g. Create characters and a concurrent plot line in the Firefly group (which would make the ending really shocking for people who haven't played the game).

They look nothing alike, video games fans like there to be some resemblance...

It’s like The Witchers Triss who is red haired being portrayed by a girl completely different

Its an adaptation not a recreation, and there's nothing specific about the character of Joel that would require him to be a specific ethnicity .

Also in terms of The Witcher, I like both the series and games, but important to note that it was originally a book series. The games are unofficial sequels to the books, while the series is an adaptation of the books, not the games. Triss has light brown hair in the books - red was a visual choice for the games (presumably to create a stark visual contrast with Yennifer's black hair, which is canonical to the books). If we're nit-picking.

Bella was an absolute scene stealer in GOT as Lyanna
