Is anything happening in your community? we have a neighbours whatapps group where we usually share any nefarious goings on in the area  but it's now being used to offer shopping for self isolating folks, or if anyone is running low on anything that we can share
and the Next door app has lots of offers of help and suggestions

Tbh it's like a ghost town where I live.
You would think that Clock Tower has come to life.
...we have an ‘adoption’ thing being set up atm ...adopt an elderly/adopt a family/adopt a vulnerable, type thing...also lots of companies and groups arranging whatever food hampers they’re able to get for the local food bank...

We have people using a postcard and pushing it through doors with a contact number and people can call the number for supplies, help or just a chat.
All over FB on our local selling groups people are asking for things (usually nappies etc) or offering help.
I wish this was not happening but its lovely that people are pulling together at the moment.

Same as you Cherie but it's a FB group [emoji39] the local shop is also offering free delivery of groceries to the elderly, vulnerable or anyone self isolating

I beg your pardon "Should of known it wouldn't be a positive for me" ?? , What's that supposed to mean?.
I was only saying it's been in the headlines that scammers are abusing it , I never said the genuine communities helping people were bad .

My local villages have been to lone pensioners and handed out leaflets with phone numbers and there are volunteer shoppers/meds collectors. The shop in my nearest village is arranging to take orders by phone and deliver to anyone self-isolating. People seem genuinely eager to help.
