I would think the main issue is the judges getting into The UK

Last I heard was that they were hoping to resume filming in November in time for an early 2021 air date, but whether that will actually happen or not I have no idea

Not really, they come here, isolate for two weeks and then continue filming
They should just have Alan/Graham for the rest of the season with no guest judges, if all of them are isolating in theory there shouldn’t be a problem

Ah ok
Gonna look so weird watching knowing it’ll have been 9 months or so between episodes :joker:
I hope they all come in one day with full beards/completely different hairstyles/extreme body modifications and absolutely none of it is explained

But like are there any flights from the US landing in the UK right now?
Because they can stay in quarantine for a bit, but if there's no flight then it's done for now.
And I suppose Ru would try to speed things up so he can film S13 and AS6.

Yeah there are flights atm, but if you arrive here you have to self isolate for 14 days
I don’t see S13 or AS6 (the latter of which I don’t even think is happening) filming until next year now, which is probably a good thing, 3/4 seasons a year is too much

I’d imagine the series would be canned. When Mike Thalassitis passed away between the filming and transmission of Ex on the Beach, they just never aired the season and filmed a new one instead.

I think it would be respectful to a queen to air it considering its effectively a talent show and you are showing the dead queens work.
Its different to someone committing suicide and then a channel airing them fighting and ****ing on tv a month later.

I thought it was only intra-european flights and US people were banned.
Anyway, had they spread out S12, AS5, Canada, Celebrity Drag Race we wouldn't be there without a show for months :joker:

We could do with a few months off to be fair.
And anyway if they really want to get the show back on air then they can turn the post production period around much fast than they currently do.
Whats happening with Australia Drag Race anyway?
There's been no word in regard to Drag Race Australia for about a year afaik (it certainly hasn't been cast or filmed), although some producer said that there were currently seven international Drag Race spin-offs in the works so people are assuming Australia is one of them
It’s a shame the UK one has been affected. If anything it’s the USA version that needed a rest

Not really  most shows have already started. There's a thing called quarantine which the drag queens and production will have to do before filming until they are eliminated/finished. Strictly is doing it, Im a celeb is doing it, BBUS have done it.

yes, however in case of positive tests it can be delayed a bit
with our current series of the voice senior, the ''semi live'' final the recorded part of that has been delayed because of 2 crew members who had been tested positive for covid-19
so now filming has been halted and the premiere date also been moved

that's why you have to quarantine for two weeks before starting and since they don't deal with the public, it's safe

there is a form of audience here, but just done differently, more distance between each other, and mostly in sort of seating areas, like families can sit next to each other, but not random strangers
also at german live tv shows, also reduced number of audience, but the ''no audience'' is just too boring so we learn to adapt around these whole measures for now

I'm not surprised to see that filming is resuming on the other Drag Race shows, I suppose it's not a difficult show to film safely since you could probably social distance quite easily. It won't surprise me if we see a lot of individual and design challenges in the next few seasons, which isn't a bad thing as the focus on unfunny group challenges as of late is starting to wear thin.

So they changed it this year, since I read that AS6 is going to start filming next week.
Too bad we won't get DR UK this year, but oh well, hopefully it's worth the wait and they don't rush back to filming it during these Miss Rona times. I'm surprised they are filming the American version right now, as the US are far from being done with Miss Rona. Pretty sure they took some strong measures to prevent the virus.

There's usually 6 months+ between filming ending and transmission when it comes to Drag Race.
If S13 is on in Feb as normal, can't see the two series being on at the same time so don't think we'll get the UK series until May at the earliest. Unless they try and rush-release it for January and February.

I wouldn't say that, it was a bit of a hit for BBC Three, so it's nothing to do with the importance of the series. It's easier to complete the filming on the US editions as Ru and Michelle are already in America.
They can't get over here due to the travel restrictions.. so it's more the case of it being practical over it being more important.

It's apparently being "regrouped" whatever that means. Confirmed at Ed TV Fest that they were midway through filming the second series - basically meaning they're trying to get everyone back together in the UK.

I could see them potentially having to draft in someone to replace Ru and Michelle. I'd be surprised if the ban on US travel gets lifted any time soon. Either that or they'll just put screens on their spots on the Judge's table and have them watch proceedings over Zoom which would be such a mess I'd kinda wanna see it.
I'd honestly rather they just wait until Ru and Mich can rejoin

she also apparently had been asked multiple times to do Strictly too, however she never really has that much confidence in herself, or doesn't want to be fired out of a cannon as she thinks that is the way comedians get treated on that show

She definitely should have won the makeover one, but I suppose Ru wanted the top 3 to be the most consistent with queens who got the most Ru badges.
I would have rather see The Vivienne won this challenge than Divina tbh
For the commercial, I think she deserved bottom two. I guess Baga's had more "fun" to it. (meaning Baga being just naturally Baga)

This is a battle I go through in my mind tbh. On one hand I understand why having the 3 most consistent performers in the final is the best way forward, but if everything is judged on track record then there’d be no point in having bottom 2’s and lip syncs etc if the decision is already made.
Cheryl performed by far the best on the makeover, delivered the strongest family resemblance yet landed in the B2 and went home? Because she hadn’t won anything else? Idk that just doesn’t sit right with me.

It's more obvious in those cases where a queen who did well in the challenge still went home because of track record. And then you'll have people complain that one of the top performers of the season (in that case Baga) didn't make the top 3. So it goes both ways really.
It was her second lipsync and she didn't perform that well during the whole competition while it was Baga's first lipsync and did well so far.
That episode was heartbreaking for Cheryl because she should have won, but in hindshight the top 3 was so good that Ru couldn't make another decision. tbh they should have had a top 4 just for Cherly doing so well in the makeover challenge, and her part in the rumix would have slapped!
I hope we get to see her in AS UK or international AS or something to give her another chance.
Morgan.

See with Baga I wouldn’t have minded her missing F3 so much just because I don’t recall enjoying a single one of her runways. Sure Cheryl’s were cheap and a bit messy but I could see the intention with them all and I think they were fun.
She’s super deserving of a second shot, so yeah I do hope there’s an All Stars (preferably after UK4/5)
Was all set up for a Viv, DDC, Baga top 3 from day dot anyway. Cheryl should've gone home before Blu. And Viv was clearly set up to win.
