Brace yourselves, it's time for a scripted "comedy" challenge.

Oh how I wish I had the unmatched comedic genius of a Drag Race skit writer, the kind that could only come up with such classic character names as "Monna Dartin", "Parah Salin" and "Ronda Shimes"

Widow: Brita should've been safe.
Heidi: and you're saying Aiden should've went home?
Widow: Yes :)
Heidi: But I see a fire in her, and I feel like sh-
Widow: Yeah, a candle.

:skull: another win for Sherry. I do wonder if she'd have gotten a good edit had she not...uh...done what she did.

Sad about the bottom two but happy about the song they used

A LOT to say about the episode.

-Sherry deserved her win at the time they filmed, and it was not even close competition. It's so weird to see somebody doing so well since the beginning with everything that is happening now. I want to like her but really I can't, I just recognize her as a good performer (and that Elvis look was my favorite this week)

-Aiden deserved to be safe over Jaida or Brita. Point closed. She just did better. I like Jaida and Brita but they really annoyed my during Untucked tbh

-I'm over Widow at this point, I'm sick of her complaining and whining. She really had one shining moment in episode 1 and since then it's not great. Sherry could have played any role this week and still win the challenge, and Widow was still going to be a supporting cast member.

-Nicky shot herself in the foot twice, for that baby role and the answer she gave Ru.
And about the language barrier, I've had it for such a long time, living in the UK for several years and in other non French speaking countries. I know what she feels like, and I admit I struggled with it when I was much younger. But you have to push through it because in the end, it's your personality that people will like you about, not your language. But she will learn. And I just want to say that I'm glad we had a French girl on the show!

-That episode of Untucked was INTENSE. I agree with Aiden and I don't like to see a girl pointed at for too long. That does not look good on TV or for the girls' reputations.
I love Brita but really she needs to stop hating someone who seems 'weaker' than her. Pick on Widow or something, pick on somebody your own size. And Aiden really held her own, I'm proud!

-Heidi is shaping up to be one of my personal favorite of all time. She is a scream! Yes fine her runway wasn't that good but it wasn't all terrible. For some reason she kind of gave me Kennedy Davenport vibes tonight.
That wig loss in the lipsync though :skull:

A much better week than the last one, but something still feels weird about this season. It's better than 11 but not yet on 8/9/10 level. (I'm only comparing recent seasons). I don't know, I need more.

Heidi in Untucked this week is an all-time top tier Drag Race performance, quite frankly

One other thing: I really don't understand why Carlson did not judge the Ball last week and Ross did, but he judged the acting challenge this week and Ross didn't. Carlson is the "fashon" judge and Ross the "comedy" one.
Even Leslie Jones would have been more fitting to judge an acting challenge. Weird choice from Ru.

One of the reasons she's becoming a fan of mine. I was really impressed. All her interviews are hilarious, and she takes on the "goofy big personality" role better than Vanjie tbh

I actually really enjoyed this ep, I'd even say it was the best since perhaps s10.

They all did pretty well in the acting challenge. Aiden was a scream :skull: and Sherry as mother was amazing. Also I thought Nicky did a great job in a role not suited for her, Widow was just 'angry black woman'

Brita imo is the weak link in this group and it pisses me off how shes constantly trying to push aiden under the bus at any opportunity, even in next weeks preview shes still doing it. Its like she knows shes the worst one and is trying to focus the attention on someone else.

best runways for me were Jaida, Crystal, Jan, Sherry, Aidan and Jackie

Thought everyone did really well in the acting challenge, bar Jaida, I was surprised she wasn’t in the bottom, her look saved her I guess.

I’m bored of Brita moaning about Aiden constantly, it’s borderline bullying how she constantly has to snipe about her and it looks like next week won’t be any different.

Also did anyone else think that the screening of the show went on for ages, feels like the longest “show” they’ve ever done

Not seen it yet but I saw the preview. Brita is annoying how she thinks she's the best New York girl there. Get over yourself and stop picking on Adiden.

Aiden annoys me and I think I figured out why, he's basically a Myspace teenager that thinks they're really unique and special when they're really not. There's so many unique queens throughout DR history and he just feels basic.

My view of Brita's gone downhill but I do generally echo her thoughts that Aiden should have gone home last week. Two weeks in a row he has relied on guidance from other queens to save himself. He needed Jan to tell him he could style his look as a Referee and this week you had Jackie telling him to Mae West it up. He just annoys the hell out of me.

I’m DEAD at Aiden mentioning that Brita spits when she talks.

The receipt the editors served was so cruel :joker:

I gay gasped when they showed it :joker:

Ep 5 thoughts: I think it was my favourite episode of the season so far, barring the premieres. The queens as a collective seem to bounce off each other more and more, which is good to see. The challenge was okay but did go on for quite a bit. By the time Crystal and Heidi came on I was like 'omg there's more', but I do agree with Ru and thought most of them did well. The elimination definitely hurt a little. Nicky was super-genuine and lovely, and it was nice to have a European presence on the show. Her drag was gorgeous, too, so her runways will be missed. Definitely a loss to the season, but I do think this is a strong group of queens so eliminations are going to be tough.

Sherry was the best in the challenge and it really sucks because she's outright the best queen on the show, IMO. Her runways and challenge performances have been consistently good. There's something about both Jaida and Jan that rubs me up the wrong way — the former comes across arrogant, while the latter has real mean girl vibes. It sucks because I do like their drag, but there's something not clicking with those two for me...Even though I want it to. Gigi is probably my favourite at the moment, but I have heard that she was a bitch during Untucked so I will have to see what that's about. Otherwise, Crystal is fast becoming my fave cause she's adorable and lovable. Oh, Heidi is obviously amazing as well. She rounds up my top three. I like Widow and don't really have an opinion Jackie, even though it seems they're filling up Sherry content with Jackie content. That's the second episode where they made it seem like Jackie should have won an episode Sherry won.

In terms of the Aiden/Brita thing (if it is actually a thing), I'm definitely #teamaiden even though I'm not her biggest fan. Brita is a bit of a hell demon and definitely has an ego due to her New York reputation, and she is unfairly taking her poor track record out on Aiden particularly. I can take someone wearing the same wig on the runway a bunch of times over someone who is just sour and unlikable. However, I do understand Brita is much more than that outside the realm of Drag Race, so I am reigning in my dislike for her as much as I can (cause it does seem like the editors are amping up the villain edit a lot with her, too).

Lastly, Normani was a terrible guest judge. Sorry :(

Also, never in my life did I think we would Get a Buffalo Bill/Silence of the Lambs runway reference but here we are.

I assume he's watching the WOW Presents Plus cut of the season that has all of Sherry Pie's content replaced with random clips from season 6

Brita is diabolical, she was horrendous on Untucked.

Hope she exits stage left sooner than later.
