Britney Spears clarifies she isn’t faster than Usain Bolt following Instagram confusion
The pop icon claimed, in a since-deleted post on her Instagram, that she usually manages to run 100 metres in “six or seven seconds”. Even more impressively, she also claimed she’d just managed to achieve the feat in under five.
Observers were quick to point out, however, that Bolt currently holds the world record for fastest person to run 100 metres – and in 9.58 seconds, which is significantly longer than Spears (allegedly) on an average day.
She has now clarified that her claim was merely a joke.
In a caption for*a video showing her posing in a yellow dress, Spears wrote:*“Obviously I was joking about running the 100 metre dash in 5.97 seconds.”
As if the Comverd "over by Easter" lie wasn't bad enough, now this. How much more LIES can America take?
