The UEFA President has said there is no option what so ever to null and void the league and that Liverpoolwill be named champions whether they restart the season or cancel it .

UEFA has no say on the matter. They can threaten to ban the PL clubs from Europe, but in reality they will need them just as much after this outbreak.

At the end of the day. Crowning a champion will be on of many things to worry about in terms of English football anyway.

The PL can also not afford to pay over a billion in compensation

Compensation to who?

There isn’t a judge in the world who is going to enforce a lawsuit payout carried out due to the coronavirus outbreak that has changed the whole world.

Fifa have gave an indefinite suspension to the league meaning they are allowed to finish when it's safe to do so now if they chose not to many broadcasters can and will sue.

Tbf that Premier League Season has finished what will be 3 months ago if it does come back in June, what would be coming back is a mini season pretending to be the former season and teams winning promotion/getting relegated based off 11 to 12 games rather than the 30 odd games prior.

I'd end the season now with Liverpool being champions, and start with a new season in July/August so that players will definitely be fit enough to start the season.

Prior to that it'd probably be smart for some small Cup tournaments get started up before the 2020/21 season starts and televise/stream them on Sky Sports/Amazon/any company willing to show Football matches just so that Football teams can stay afloat financially.

However the common sense thing to do will be ignored and our FA or UEFA will pick one of the bad options.

No it will be resuming the season already and will be there to sort out the final placings

But the final placings won't be based off the form throughout the "season" but off a mere few games that would be being tacked onto a season that should just count the current standings as the final placings imo.

I mean technically we could have the season "start back up" Liverpool lose every single game and be declared champions because of their form from 3 months ago, it would be absurd. Don't forget to mention that teams would be getting relegated that probably wouldn't have got relegated if the Coronavirus hadn't have happened.

Neither scenario is ideal, but I would rather count the results pre-Corona than post-Corona results to the 2019-20 season.

also players are playing remainder of matches (after a long break) so we also don't know if they are still in good form (i don't think so anyway)

It's only liverpool and the clubs in the relegation zone that want to finish the season, for the rest of them, there is zero point
