I actually don't have a purse....my cards are in my phone case and I never use cash (or if I have to I draw out what I need and any loose change goes into the ashtray in my car).

I am more of a phone, car keys and off kind of gal. I have loads of handbags but only really use one when I'm going out out.

I probably should try to be a bit more girlie and gracious, but can't be arsed with the faff

Sensible approach Annie. I'm stunned that anyone is carrying around more than £50 cash and debit and credit cards. Sort it out Kate and Adam or somone will crack you around the head and take that off you. :nono:

I have three cards that I use but never ever carry more than one on me. Cash is a weakness for me but now I've disciplined myself to only making cash withdrawals from the same ATM so I can track them better. I carry around one of the cards, a bunch of loyaylty cards and never more than a fiver and that if I really really need to pay cash. I'm trying to phase it out of my budgets.

Are you comfortable carrying all that around with you? Are all four cards contactless? If so then I'll come round myself, crack you around the head and take them off you. Just my opinion but I think thats quite dangerous. Do you carry your phone around with them too? If someone takes the cards and the phone then it may be hours before you can cancel them.

Its just habit, but I did have my purse lifted on the tube about 20 years ago on my way to work so I should know better

I have my cards, a winning lottery ticket (just a free lucky dip) and 20 note in my phone case, I rarely lift cash out and if I do it goes into my phone case.

I cram tooooo much stuff into this wallet:

- $112
- License
- Chase bank card
- Two credit cards
- Some Mastercard gift card that I think I got about 2-3 years ago for my birthday and have no clue how much I have left :skull:
- A Chipotle gift card that I think has about $3 left on it :elephant:
- Insurance card
- Some AAA auto contact card (not even sure since when or why I have it)
- Gym membership mini-card thing (more of something to put on a keychain but I stuff it in my wallet)
- Old college ID (I use this at the theater I go to cause college students get a discount certain days, plus I just like keeping it)
- A couple Atlantic City casino cards (you get rewards, free parking, free cashback etc. if you get them)
- A random old Borgata room key - that I can now throw out and at least have a little more card space in my wallet :joker:

My wallet just has a debit card, a supermarket card, my European Union health card and an age card thing. If I'm carrying a handbag I usually have my wallet, one or two sets of keys and sunglasses. I rarely carry cash and if I'm going to need someone I just withdraw it on the way to where I'm going, there's an atm near my apartment building.

Most cards now won't be able to be used contactless after a few transactions and most banks will refund you the money anyway if your card gets stolen

I think the approach of strictly limiting what you take out everytime seems a bit ott providing you don't leave your wallet lying around and keep your wits about you for pickpockets etc. No one can tell what you've got in your wallet though and the odds of being mugged randomly are pretty slim

You're more likely to be mugged for your ready cash than your cards. And less likely to get that money back.

I hear what you guys are saying but for the last two years I've been trying to get my credit score up so I've been doing loads of research into banks and credit etc so if someone pulls out a nice credit card while I'm in the queue at Aldi, I notice. So if I notice I think others do to. Thats all I'm saying

£17.35, a debit card, three credit cards, AA membership card, Historic Scotland cards, Pets@Home membership card :joker:.

I hardly ever carry my wallet though.

In my phone case I have one debit card, driving license and £50 cash tucked in the back for emergencies. I don't really use cash but you never know when someone's going to ambush you with "Sorreh pal we don't take caaard".
