Surprisingly agree with AJ that One Tree Hill is Better however. The women of The OC are very one dimensional and follow stereotypes, which isn’t the case with One Tree Hill

I'm only halfway through the first season so can't speak for the entire show but it's more teen soap/drama.

It's like a less raunchy Sex Ed, they share some similar storylines as well.

One thing I always wondered is One Tree Hill just a quirky random town name or does their town/city have a hill with one tree on it? :hehe:

It’s more dark than The OC, some of the storylines go further / push boundaries / more extreme / shocking. But it also has good comedic moments. It’s a good drama coming of age series, but pushes more boundaries (without wanting to spoil any of the storylines, one in particular is very shocking, and I had no idea it was coming).

The character development of some of the characters Is fantastic also (in particular Brooke and Dan). I love The O.C also but I feel one tree hill is just a slightly better version to be honest once it gets past the basketball gimmick of the first few episodes

That dies out majorly after the first few episodesThis and it only really features much at all in seasons 1 and 3 (of 9 seasons). However, S3 is also probably one of the best seasons IMO.

I only liked One Tree Hill when Chad Michael Murray was in it. Lost interest after he left.
The OC was amazing, loved Ryan!
