Garden centres sell animal food.
As do supermarkets and off licenses.
As do supermarkets and off licenses.
But that's like walking into an Asdas for a pair of jeans.

How is your death rate?
My province has 4 deaths.
We have more recovered Covid-19 illnesses than over all cases.
But British Columbia had greenhouses as essential services as well, and their numbers were worse. They recovered faster than Ontario or Quebec

My local independent garden centre is open, they make sure people socially distance themselves... and what a perfect time for people to get out into the garden. I sent Alex for Lupins and foxgloves yesterday, and he bought the most beautiful smelling jasmine. He's going to plant later while I supervise.

Many of these stores closed for the safety of their staff, they can’t do right for doing wrong

Yes Tape on the floor
limit the amount that can enter at a time
Like Supermarkets

I can understand garden stores and DIY stores gradually reopening as the government will know the lockdown will create a high level of depression and potentially suicide by people feeling their life is just wasting away so giving them something to do in their homes will be good as long as it's not abused

you need to stay at home though, people just need to be aware health is more important than social lives now
and once this crisis is over you can go out all the many times you want

Yes if they have the staff, B n Q seem to employ alot of elders who may be self isolating, the supermarkets went on a recruitment drive to solve this issue

You need to be able to keep active in some way or the other otherwise your mental health will be destroyed

It's a difficult one really, Garden centres should close but farming focused shops should remain open. Encourage people to start growing their own produce, I feel like if a lot of GCs were still open, people would go to them just to wander around and buy fluff instead of important stuff.

GC also attract alot of retirees, the people who should be at home....

Look at the backlash Mike Ashley got for trying to force his staff into work...and his staff are generally in the very young bracket

Our Garden Centre is open still but only for deliveries.
if garden centers were to open up there would be even more serious diy injuries than there are currently

our local B n Q is open for click and collect, and also had some flowers and compost you could buy there and then, social distancing queuing and you stand to the side behind a glass window while the staff member scans your purchases, they were also giving away some free flowers

It is pretty annoying. I wanna get some bits and bobs to really polish up my garden while on furlough before the summer hits...
Gc has always been golf club in my day.

I don’t see why Garden Centres and places like B&Q can’t re open and operate the same way as supermarkets. I know some places attract the older generation more but the older generation maybe need to be more sensible than most and avoid them unless absolutely necessary.
Ikea don't even have to change.
